McFatty Monday

McFatty Monday is here!

I hate losing weight.  I really, really hate losing weight.  I hate dieting, I hate sweating, I hate marking ”30 Day Shred” into my planner after I’ve already logged a full day as both a workaholic & a momma.  But I also really, really hate not fitting into my clothes, not having sex with the lights on, & seeing the scale begin with the number “2.”  With two more digits following.

So along came McFatty Monday.

A concept dreamed of the necessity to drop baby weight.  Weight from Harrison, weight from Harpie (my 1st pregnancy), & weight from my precious Tanqueray.  This is a quest I am embarking upon, beginning Monday, January 4, 2010.  A quest that will include much self-mocking & attention-whoring as I laugh, probably cry, & more than likely curse my way through the lard on my hips.

Every Monday, I’ll be posting my thoughts, progress, & struggles on the weight loss.

& this is where y’all enter the picture – whether you have 50 lbs to lose (like me), or 5.  In those posts, you’ll find a McLinky that will allow you to share your own McFatty Monday.  Simply enter the link to your blog’s specific McFatty Monday post for that day to create a “community” of tips, recipes, struggles, support, & laughs.  Did you fall off the treadmill at 5:30am?  Do you have an amazing recipe that doesn’t require a stick of butter (sorry, Paula Deen)?  Are you already a fitness guru, with tips & encouragement?  Did you fart in front of your trainer, or succeed in dropping 2 lbs this week?  I want to hear it.

No, really…I do.  Because I’ve done weight loss on my own before & it sucks.  So let’s do it together.
