Yes!! I couldn’t breastfeed, but exclusively pumped for 4 months before switching to formula. My daughter always ate from a bottle. I remember reading about attachment parenting on dr. sear’s website, and he wrote that nursing your child doesn’t just mean breastfeeding. Any act of close, focused, physical comforting you give your child is nursing. It helped me let go of the guilt. Thank you for writing this.

I can’t even imagine! I am 5 foot 8, but wear a 35/36 inseam. (Yes, I have extremly long legs compared to the rest of me) the 34 inch inseams make me so mad! Have you looked online at vanity for jeans? Any one else have good suggestions on wear to find tall/long jeans?

Oh Becky AMEN! I was asleep (they had to put me under for my emergency c-section) so I never got to “meet” my baby. I held him for 5 minutes before they whisked him away to another hospital for a collapsed lung. We spent 5 days in seperate hospitals and then finally were home together.People would say things like this and almost drive me to the point of insanity with worry about our relationship being “broken”. A year later you would never know we missed that bonding time that some mommies swear will make or break you.

I love this. I tried so hard to nurse. SO hard. I was planning extended breastfeeding. When the direct route didn’t work, I pumped into bottles (which meant pretty much all I did was pump, feed, clean pump/supplies, store milk, repeat). The supply dwindled, the formula was purchased until it was all there was. It took me a long time to be ok with that…

So well said. I could not agree more. I breastfed my son for 21 months and could not care less how other people feed their babies. Feed them, and love them, and enjoy them, however any of those things happen for you.

I have been pretty surprised at how different things are the second time around. My boys are almost 5 years apart and night and day different.(Except for the big blue eyes,thankfully.) Not to mention that with baby #2 you are a more confident mom. Good luck wih any plans for baby 2.
