Nate would like to point out that I am indeed both barefoot AND pregnant in this picture, much to his amusement. I am also very travel-worn, have crossed the state & visited 3 towns in under 48 hours, plus a brief car-hijacking stint (not mine, praise God) that ended up with me & the Momma crawling a grand total of 9 miles in 3 1/2 hours. So obviously, I make no apologies for the pajama pants…although I must say, I feel like a foxy lady with a little bit of sunshine bronzing my arms, no? (have no fear, I slathered on SPF 30 and 50 multiple times per day throughout the entire week. sunscreen is my bff)
How far along? 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks left. Please pass the smelling salts.
Total weight gain/loss: 24 lbs is the official weigh-in.
Maternity clothes? yep.
Sleep: We’ve added yet another nightly pee to the routine.
Best moment this week: Vacation. Sitting on the sunny beach, soaking up sunshine with an amazing book & the husband by my side.
Movement: I swear that he VIBRATES sometimes. Any clue as to what this may be?
Food cravings: Nothing, really.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None. BH Contrax hurt like hell, fwiw.
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: Beer at the beach..next year, I will be back in the game!
What I am looking forward to: Maternity pictures in a few weeks!
Weekly Wisdom: Compression hosiery are awesome…fug, but awesome.
Milestones: The wedding ring is officially off, so now I look like an 18-year-old unwed mother. le sigh.

Sorry for the delay, here is the big bellah.
We’re back from Charleston! My feet are killing me (don’t worry, I wore sneakers instead of flops during the trip), but we had the best time since our honeymoon. Details & pictures of cuppycakes to follow, but for now I’m going to throw some laundry in the wash & work on nursery curtains.
Yep, an awkward self-portrait in the bathroom this week, with the mirror that will never get 100% clean! Lucky!! I’ve decided that I really shouldn’t just throw the camera at Nate & say, “Here, let’s take a picture” when I’m tired & sweaty by the end of the day, since I’m looking progressively more disheveled in my belly pictures each week. We’re hitting 25 weeks & after one emergency appointment to the doctor on Wednesday to make sure I wasn’t going into preterm labor, we’re all good under the hood. Harrison is strong enough to actually MOVE the belly, which freaks Nate out. He hates seeing that happen, which makes me laugh — I admit, it is weird looking. I can’t believe I’m having a kid in roughly 15 weeks. Where the hell has the time gone?
