31 Week Belly Picture

31week 387x1024 31 Week Belly PictureNate would like to point out that I am indeed both barefoot AND pregnant in this picture, much to his amusement. I am also very travel-worn, have crossed the state & visited 3 towns in under 48 hours, plus a brief car-hijacking stint (not mine, praise God) that ended up with me & the Momma crawling a grand total of 9 miles in 3 1/2 hours. So obviously, I make no apologies for the pajama pants…although I must say, I feel like a foxy lady with a little bit of sunshine bronzing my arms, no? (have no fear, I slathered on SPF 30 and 50 multiple times per day throughout the entire week. sunscreen is my bff)

How far along? 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks left. Please pass the smelling salts.

Maternity clothes? yep.
Sleep: I’m exhausted & wish I could sleep 12 hours per day, plus a nap.

Food cravings: pizza. & red bell peppers.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None. BH contrax are still giving me hell.
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: Being comfortable in a beach chair.
What I am looking forward to: Beach vacay next week. I know, un-baby related.

Milestones: He’s around 3 lbs now & past 95% viability (I’m pretty sure,at least).

28 Week Belly Picture

28weekbelly 28 Week Belly PictureWe’re back from Charleston! My feet are killing me (don’t worry, I wore sneakers instead of flops during the trip), but we had the best time since our honeymoon. Details & pictures of cuppycakes to follow, but for now I’m going to throw some laundry in the wash & work on nursery curtains.

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I was up 19 lbs on Thursday morning.
Maternity clothes? yep.
Sleep: Still sleeping on my back, oddly enough. I’ve tried creating “barriers” to keep my from rolling off my side, but I always find my way around those. ::shrug:: I figure I’ll wake up if something is wrong.
Best moment this week: My prenatal massage in Charleston.
Movement: He’s going crazy today — kid loves sweet tea!
Food cravings: CUPPYCAKES
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None.
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: My ankles.
What I am looking forward to: hmmm…my baby shower, even though it’s still over a month away.
Weekly Wisdom: If you have the means, DEFINITELY get away with your husband/partner/whatever for a nice weekend before the baby arrives & before you get too uncomfy to have any fun. We had the best time eating wonderful food, having great hotel sex, & simply spending one-on-one time.
Milestones: Passing the GD test (by assumption since I have yet to receive a phone call).

27 Week Belly Picture

Total weight gain/loss: Up 17 lbs total. I have no idea how I gained 6 lbs in 2 weeks, but I can definitely feel those pounds.
Maternity clothes? yep. & I’ve found that Nate’s tshirts are perfect for lounging.
Stretch marks? Nothing new to note.
Sleep: Getting uncomfortable…it’s just hard to find a position that I like.
Best moment this week: The random 2nd-tri morning sickness ending.
Movement: loads. He was very quiet last weekend, but he’s been kicking me a lot on my right side this week.
Food cravings: hmm…sweets. Probably because I have my GD test tomorrow & I’m trying to get them in just in case icon wink 27 Week Belly Picture
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None. Just a lot of BH contrax.
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: My sanity.
What I am looking forward to: Getting this house fully, 100% clean.
Weekly Wisdom: Talk to your husband/partner/whatever. When I started on my “nesting psychosis,” Nate said that at least I had warned him it would come somewhere around 3rd tri.
Milestones: I’m in the 3rd trimester. OH. MY. GOD.

25 Week Belly Picture

img 2240 768x1024 25 Week Belly PictureYep, an awkward self-portrait in the bathroom this week, with the mirror that will never get 100% clean! Lucky!! I’ve decided that I really shouldn’t just throw the camera at Nate & say, “Here, let’s take a picture” when I’m tired & sweaty by the end of the day, since I’m looking progressively more disheveled in my belly pictures each week. We’re hitting 25 weeks & after one emergency appointment to the doctor on Wednesday to make sure I wasn’t going into preterm labor, we’re all good under the hood. Harrison is strong enough to actually MOVE the belly, which freaks Nate out. He hates seeing that happen, which makes me laugh — I admit, it is weird looking. I can’t believe I’m having a kid in roughly 15 weeks. Where the hell has the time gone?

How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Up 10.5 lbs total thanks to the return of morning sickness. errmmm…who loses weight at 25 weeks? Not cool.
Maternity clothes? yep.
Stretch marks? On my butt, of all places.
Sleep: I adore it.
Best moment this week: Finding the perfect boat prints to go over his crib.
Movement: He is a WILD MAN.
Food cravings: I would cut a bitch for some cheese fries.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None, thank God. It was touch-n-go on Wednesday, when I went in for severe cramping, back pain, & nausea, but my cervix looks like Fort Knox & the doctor said we’ll just keep an eye on it.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it’s getting smaller.
What I miss: Doing certain things on my own — like pulling bins out of our crawl space, getting something off the top shelf of the cabinets…I’m getting too awkward to fit into small spaces or stand on a chair, so I have to get Nate’s help.
What I am looking forward to: Paying off Nate’s car & so I can get a baby-friendly car.
Weekly Wisdom: Ultra-thin pantyliners are your friends. It has progressed from snail trail to crotch snot.
Milestones: I get to say that I am “6 months pregnant” to those that don’t count pregnancy in weeks. Totally weird. oh, & I’m pretty sure I’ve started having Braxton Hicks at night. Lovely.
