Another round of me wearing clothes!

For those of you who thought I looked cute last week, thank you!

Unfortunately, this was  yesterday’s reality:

wiww feb15 Another round of me wearing clothes!

RAWR, baby.  Wrinkled tshirt, leggings, last night’s bun.  Even the room is messy.  I was one hot momma billing a ton of hours & yes, please check & respect the Thin Mints on the nightstand.  I need to put them away but ohsogood.

I did go out with Doug & my parents on Monday night to celebrate Valentine’s Day.  Yes, we double-dated with my parents & it was a grand ol’ time.

 You’re welcome.  Rock on, Wednesday.

Haha, I’m pretty sure I spent the past week in big baggy t-shirts and leggings. NO MOTIVATION TO GET DRESSED WITH A SICK BABY AT HOME. Your Valentines outfit is adorable!

  2. Sarah says:

Ha! Sometimes t-shirts and sweat pants are just the reality when you’re home. I love that you showed it!

  3. Christina says:

I love going out to dinner with my parents and Dan. It’s fun to all be adults and all be “parents” at the same time. Not weird to me. What is weird though, is your date outfit. LOL. Not sure what’s going on there but I prefer your “sexy” t shirt and leggings and bun over the mary kate olsen look. ;)

  4. amanda says:

that date night outfit is a joke, right?

    • Christina says:

I’m tapping my foot to find out myself. LOL. If it’s not, I think that we’ve entered the civil war in terms of fashion and the north vs. the south

    • heirtoblair says:

      um, no.

You being an jerk about it is a joke, right?

::shrugs:: It’s not everyone’s style, but it was a dress I won & decided to try out.

      • Megan says:

The dress is totally fine. But let it be what it is – a dress for spring/summer. It looks ridiculous with the coat and dark tights. The dress with only the shoes will probably look good because if you look at the model on the site, that is what she is wearing. It’s fine to stray from that and try to be creative, but when it fails, wouldn’t you rather know than end up looking silly again? People that say they think it looks great are just ass-kissing a semi-popular blogger.

        • heirtoblair says:

I agree that it wasn’t my best outfit. Honestly, I think the dress doesn’t look that great on me but I think it’s perfectly fine to “think outside the box” with fashion every now & then. You stick a dress with jeans or a summer dress in winter or heels with certain jeans & sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but you never know until you try.

I never mind people saying, “Hey, BA? It ain’t your best.” What I think most people (including me) find obnoxious is the rude way it was delivered. There’s a way to critique or share an opinion without being an asshole about it.

        • Katie says:

Style is subjective. It’s cool to have opinions and all but insinuating that anyone who doesn’t share your view is “ass-kissing a semi-popular blogger” seems a bit presumptuous, not to mention rude. Personally, if another person feels good with what she is wearing that’s all that matters. Regarding the public-service of keeping others from looking silly, that’s a job for moms, sisters, and BFFs, not strangers on the Internet. Plus, this is a blog post, not America’s Next Top Model. Who died and made you Tyra?

    • Amy says:

That was appallingly rude. If someone’s style is not your own, why in the hell would you bother criticizing it? Are you still in kindergarten?

  5. It’s funny when people say how awesome my job is because I get to dress up every day (I’m talking suits, dresses, heels, wraps, jackets, up-do’s EVERY. SINGLE. FREAKING. DAY.) but as you know dressing up for work isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. i’d kill to be able to wear full-bum underwear to work just once per week.

Love that you’re rocking last night’s bun. Love Love Love!

  6. MomEinstein says:

I rock old t-shirts and sweats every now and then. On days where I’m not leaving the house and nobody will see me. The date night outfit is NMS, but hey, that’s why it’s called personal style.

  7. christa says:

I love kohl’s vera wang tights. they are the best

  8. molly says:

OMG! It’s the Shabby Apple dress you won! It looks great on you! I hope you will wear it at Blissdom so I can see it!

  9. Meghan says:

You are so freakin’ adorable. Wrinkly t-shirt and all. :-)

  10. Keri says:

HAHAHAHA!!!!! You are hilarious! I love it! Mmmm Thin Mints. You know what’s awesome about you? First, you’re willing to share the real you, second…you’re adorable either all fabbed out or all leggings and old bun. :)

  11. Daneilia says:

I love me some t-shirts and sweats. The best thing to be comfy in at home.

  12. Katie says:

Love it all. And cool that you won a dress! The only thing I’ve ever won was a duffel bag with the logo of the insurance company where I worked festooned on the front. And I carry the Hell out of that duffel bag. So you should wear the Hell out of that dress. It looks great. Hope you had a great Valentine’s Day

  13. Heather says:

Rock.On. I love both outfits, for different reasons. That dress is fab, by the way.

  14. You are fearless! I love it. And I love that t-shirt. :)

  15. KeAnne says:

After being home w/ a sick little boy & sick myself, your Wednesdat look was my Monday & Tuesday look. It was kind of nice to put on make-up & nice clothes for work yesterday. Do you have a pic of the dress without the coat? I like the coat but I can’t get a feel for what the entire dress looks like.

  16. Kimberly says:

Oh. You don’t want to see my sexy.
    Nope.
    It scares children.
And my husband’s peen into hiding.

  17. Rachel says:

To clear up the dress debate, would you post a pic without the coat/tights? I really wanted to see more dress and less coat :) I agree that the outfit was not your best, but I can assure you i have looked worse. I’ve put stuff together totally thinking I was rocking a cool style and saw a picture later… It happens. The only difference is tht most of us dont have douhebag people to comment on our fashion fails.

So yes, picture of you in the dress pretty please!

Also, do you find it harder or easier to keep the house nice now that you’re home more?

  18. Stopped by your blog to check out your location with the snow. SO glad I did because really good stuff. I don’t care what you had on in the photos, the Thin Mints on the nightstand makes it all cool. -Ellen
