I tell you what, this new gig of mine is really tough stuff.

My new boss keeps a firm hand on quality of work around here.

At least we get regular breaks for meals.

& my coworker is totally hot. I think I might have to seduce him in the copy laundry room.

I love this. All of it.
This makes me smile!
while this was an unexpected turn of events you have the best attitude about it.
Enjoy the little moments while you can! And don’t forget what an inspiration you are to all of us momma’s!!
Love the last shot where Harry’s hands are behind his head just like Doug’s!! Too cute!!
I second this!! That pic is absolutely adorable!
You are rocking SAHMotherhood! You go girl!
the last one kills me. it needs to be framed/used in anti-birth control ads … those exist, right?
Love this!
Where can I get a job like this!?! ; )
I want this job.
So cute. Whatever may come, I am happy for you that you get to do the SAHM mom gig for a while! It may not be your permanent choice but these days will make some pretty precious memories.
Haha!!!
Too bad there is no pay check in it
LOVE!!!!
That last picture of the boys is sooo adorable!
That last picture kills me!
(I am a lazy blog follower, so I don’t read every day. Maybe you discussed this and I just didn’t see…but, I’m really curious because it seems like things in your household have always been pretty even-steven. Did H still go to daycare (or w/ your sis, I guess) when your husband was laid off? Things are pretty clearly defined into “man’s work” and “woman’s work” (for lack of a better word) in my house because I stay at home and my husband works..it’s just worked out that way and works well for us. But I know quite a few couples who both work and the husband gets laid off and the kid still goes to daycare, but stays home w/ the mom when it happens to her. What did you do w/ H, and why?
I’m nosy, but I swear I’m nice nosy, and not mean nosy.
I just like to see how other families live, and every episode of Wife Swap is a damn rerun, so I guess I have moved on to blogs
No, not mean at all! It’s a great question.
When Doug was laid off, he took Harrison in the mornings to my sister so that he could job hunt in the mornings, then he picked H up before nap & was home with him in the afternoons. That lasted for a few weeks until he started helping his buddy with the start-up (where he now works) so then Harry went back to my sister full-time.
We have been sending Harrison to my sister for a little bit this week because a) he misses her & b) we’re trying to make this transition smooth for him.
It’s funny that you mention it because I totally notice it, too. I think in some ways it’s preference…like, Doug never minds keeping Harry & enjoys him, but I don’t think he gets the satisfaction of caring for him, if that makes any sense. So he sends him to daycare without a second thought. To me, being home with Harrison is a dream & I really enjoy it. & umm…I think women are better multi-taskers
Like right now, I’m answering blog comments but I have Career Builder up & Harrison is playing trucks at my feet.
