Rescued by a leatherbound knight! aka Back to School with momAgenda

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named BA.

She loved sweet tea, miniature dachshunds, & most of all…staying organized.  From the time she was a wee girl, BA loved to organize her room, making all stuffed animals stand in straight attention.  Friends & family called it “quirky.”  As sorority president & business student, she was lovingly called a “perfectionist.”  Grown full into a woman & mother, she is now called “anal retentive.”

But really, Princess BA just likes to have her stuff together.  So she balanced a work calendar, a mini calendar for her pocket book, the calendar on her phone, Outlook on her computer…& she juggled & juggled & juggled, feeling more & more like the Court Jester.  Until one magical day…

momAgenda!  On a white horse!  Pass the smelling salts!

From that day in 2010 forward, Princess BA was never seen without her momAgenda Desktop Planner, where she kept detailed notes on her week, schedules for her boys & blog, & menu planning.   Birthdays & important addresses noted, bill dates marked, birthday party presents bought the week before.  All conveniently fitting in her purse or diaper bag, camera bag, or sitting pretty on her desk.

I currently use the same planner that i have for work and google calendar. With 4 kids, it would be nice to have one place to have everything.

  2. Melissa McClain says:

I tweeted about the giveaway (@mcclain2224)

  3. Natalie says:

This would be amazing! I too have Outlook calendars, phone reminders, scraps of paper in my purse…

  4. Natalie says:

I triple puffy heart MomAgenda.. I bought myself the spiral desktop last year as a xmas gift & became OBSESSED.

I was just about to buy a new replacement, but if I can win one that would be even better. I was even going to host my own giveaway…

My MomAgenda is CRITICAL to keeping me sane. I love the fact it has large spots for writing & enough slots for all the kids & me & the hubs. There’s nothing worse than trying to cramp 5 people’s schedules in a 1×1 inch square.

  5. Diane says:

I have the multi calendar system going, desk, purse, outlook…it is madness I tell you!

  6. Natalie says:
  7. Michelle says:

Organized? What is this organization of which you speak? My current method is jotting times and dates down on whatever piece of scrap paper I can find, and it will hopefully make it to my calendar. If it doesn’t, then I usually remember that I have something to do, but not sure what…

Yeah. A better system is most definitely needed.

  8. Michelle says:

I also tweeted about the contest: @sunshinegal3

  9. Sarah says:

You know, this seems so obvious and yet it never occurred to me. I think I need to invite a mom agenda into my life.

We fly by the seat of our pants here.

  10. Amber says:

Lately, I’ve been using the calendar on my iPod for all important dates and whatnot. However, it is not meeting my needs. I need more space and a way to divvy things up for all members of my little family. Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. Barb says:

    I tweeted! @2ndchancemoon

I love being organized! However being a single and a teacher with 2 very active kids I have reminders and calendars galore! I would love to find something that I can carry with me. This would be PERFECT!

  12. I try and remember to put all appointments on my phone. But that doesn’t help when I lose my phone …. frequently….

    le sigh.

  13. Sarah says:

I tweeted it too, well, er, retweeted yours. :-) . @smldada

  14. Shannon says:

I am about to go back to work after an extended mat leave so I currently have no method of organization and NEED this agenda to start out on the right foot. Between working full time, looking after the kiddo, cooking, cleaning and a husband who is working fulltime and doing a full time masters degree, I am going to need all the help I can get!

  15. Holls says:

I need a larger planner. ASAP. I have a smaller planner that I use more like a wallet since it has credit card slots. I also use my work outlook and my blackberry- I like to have things written down and kept electronically (leads to less errors for this forgetful mama haha)

I’d love to have the larger desktop planner to be able to write down more information about my day, planning, etc. My handwriting is awful and it’s not very helpful if I can’t even read my own notes!

Plus… momAgenda has a pink planner that I have been lusting after. I need this win!!!

  16. anne says:

im NOT organized! thats why i neeeeeeed this in my life. I have an 18mo old and i just feel like everything is fly by the seat of my pants. I’ve been wanting to sit down and organize our schedule, meals,e ct but i dont have the right tools to do so and its intimidating trying to find those right tools. Winning this would be a godsend!

  17. jen says:

I totally need this. I use my outlook calendar @ work, and send invitations to my gmail address so it shows on my g-calendar (which i sync with my phone). we also have the family calendar in the kitchen.

i am a mess, help me, momagenda!

  18. carmen says:

i’m a bit scattered too – a combo of google docs and an outlook calendar, neither of which are particularly easy to check on my phone. i end up keeping a lot in my brain. but i need that space for other stuff! so i would love to win this and have everything in the same place.

  19. jen says:

    tweeted! (@jenswart)

  20. Kirsten says:

I have coveted a MomAgenda for almost 9 years. Oh, hang on, that’s EXACTLY AS LONG AS I’VE BEEN A MOM. hm. Right now my ‘organisation’ consists of one hanging calendar w/ scribbles, and 1000 index cards with notes scattered around the kitchen. Sigh. I NEED A MomAgenda!

  21. PLEASE! Currently, I have a mini momagenda that a beautiful, sophisticated, overly organized southern belle gifted me….but I need something bigger. I have big loopy, catholic school girl, handwriting.

  22. Molly says:

I have a plain old black organizer that I use… very boring. I could use a hip yet professional looking one like the planner you have in the photos above!

  23. I tweeted!

  24. Momma Chaos says:

O.M.G. I need this! I currently have a little calendar in my purse, my calendar on my phone & my outlook calendar on the computer.. My problem is that I forget to sync everything :( I have 6 kids and need something big enough to put everyone’s stuff into!

  25. amanda says:

love the GQ photoshoot bwahahah! i am un-organized, so anythang helps!

  26. Amanda says:

I’m not organized at all! this would be an awesome why to get organized.

  27. Momma Chaos says:
  28. Jess says:

I can’t stay organized. This is why I need the momAgenda!!!

  29. Laurie says:

I am terrible at keeping organized..I do my best by keeping lists on my phone, but that’s about it! This would be great!

  30. Kasey says:

Google calendar & binder with some kind of daily tasks etc……… The binder is always lost. Fail.

  31. Kasey says:

    I tweeted @klganden

  32. Adam says:

I have a left handed notebook (what an awesome invention) that I write a To Do list on every night. Then I usually do a few things from my list, veer off course and find it the next night to remind myself to do everything else tomorrow.

  33. I am an organizational freak which means I have planners, apps on my iPhone, and even a huge family calendar on our refrigerator. I’ve managed to scale down to just my iPhone but my blog is getting busier and I need something to write on. I would love to win this!

  34. Courtenay g says:

Let’s see. I use an app on my phone called Cozi Family Planner, but that works best when all parties adhere to it;-) I have a mini calendar for my work stuff. I use my iPhone calendar for prenatal appt, my son’s appts, or any random appts that may be occurring.
Basically I am all over the place;-)
A momAgenda planner would be a nice place to try and tie it all together;-)

  35. Abby says:

I have a ratty little spiral notebook on my island in the kitchen that is currently the repository for my lists…plus, a calendar on the wall…plus an electronic calendar at work. I need to consolidate! HALP!

  36. Courtenay g says:

    I tweeted about this giveaway.
    UGA_dawgs11

  37. Suzanne says:

Let’s see, I have Office calendar, a calendar on my phone, a calendar at home, business cards with my future dentist appt, a list of my husband’s football games…..Thank God all I have to remember with my little ones is doc appts for now!

  38. Heather says:

    tweet: @hdbernard. :)

  39. Kiley says:

I am most definitely not organized. I have a calendar on my fridge that sometimes gets appointments written on it, but it is mostly for meal planning. More than once I have forgotten appointments because I still have the card for it in the bottom of the diaper bag. I definitely need a system.

  40. Heather says:

I make lists. All the time. Everywhere. I lose them, find them, make them, remake them. I add things that weren’t on the list when I do them so I can cross them off.

  41. Colleen says:

I just started selling Thirty-One and now have two jobs! I really need help keeping things straight! Less stress the better!

  42. I use a “diary” style daybook calendar, that stays at work. I text and email myself reminders. I work based on (faulty) memory, a wing and a prayer. I could really use something a little more all-encompassing!

  43. I also tweeted this, in hopes that this one extra entry will guide me on the path to organization!

  44. Kirsten says:

okey doke, just tweeted it too: @NilsenLife

  45. MamaPhan says:

I try desperately to stay organized with an outlook calendar on my phone and a google calendar I share with my husband so at least one of us remembers the kids have somewhere to be every Tuesday morning [swim lessons]. One of us always [read: me] usually forgets something major.

  46. SenoritaLaura says:

Ug… multiple calendars all over the place! One on the fridge, one in my purse, and another for work. Oh, how I need to get my crap together. Oh, and I have a miniature dachshund, so maybe I should just win because of that :)

  47. Sarah says:

I neeeeeed it. Right now it’s just outlook and a blackberry.

  48. Kim says:

GQ photoshoot and BabyGap commercial? I giggled :)

How do I stay organized? Ummm well we have a big combination whiteboard/corkboard on the back of the door to our place, the corkboard holds the calendar, the whiteboard has a bunch of stuff written all over it, like groceries and honey-do’s that my husband forgets are there.

    Help me, Princess BA!

  49. MamaPhan says:

    tweeted it, too. I’m @MamaPhan.

  50. Rebekah says:

I currently have no type of planner. Just my head. Which would be why I missed a chiropractor appt this week and I wake in the middle of the night panicked about missing something. With the recent job loss and job search beginning I could really use the help getting organized…

  51. Laura says:

I use the calendar on my phone, a desktop planner, and a household binder.

And sometimes I still feel very disorganized. :)

  52. Julia says:

I have a cheapo calendar that is just okay, when I can find it. Would love to organize my family’s life!

  53. Kelley says:

I’m totally NOT organized – that’s why I need this! I’m going back to college for the first time in almost 10 years and will definitely need help keeping my home, work and school life running smoothly!

  54. Jenny says:

I have a planner in my purse, to-do lists in my phone and a calendar in my phone. I would love to have this planner, I am an overly organized person as well!!

  55. Kella says:

I, like you have, use multiple sources to “try” and stay organize. Outlook, Ipod Calendar, texts to myself, post-it notes stuck in my person that with out fail always get lost. I used to be uber organized, then I became a mom. Please help regain my sanity!

  56. Jen says:

I have a small {purple} planner that I carry EVERYWHERE with me. I use the calendar on my phone, sometimes; however, I forget to sync it with the one in my bag which causes confusion & problems sometimes! ha!

With my oldest starting school and being involved in extras & sports, my husb’s crazy work schedule & my daughter getting involved with her playdates & occasionally my things, I cannot live without a calendar.

  57. Wendi says:

Currently us a google calendar and Outlook….it can get messy with 3 kids worth of activities and appts, husbands and my travel and all the splendid conference calls and work meetings..wheeee! Menu planning and work out time is a pipe dream!

  58. Brittany says:

    Tweeted: MrsSchell

  59. Lauren says:

I have a planner that I HATE so obviously i need an awesome one :)

  60. Lauren says:

    I’m gonna tweet this: MadMommyL

  61. Jenny says:

    I tweeted as well (@JennyJMyers)

  62. I’m a hot mess. I use the calendar on my phone, outlook calendar at work, my (faulty) memory and one meeeelion post-it notes in an attempt to stay on the ball.

  63. Angie says:

Multiple calendars here, too. I have a desktop calendar at work, phone calendar, and a magnetic family calendar on the fridge at home. It would be nice to have it all in one place.

  64. Erin says:

I’m SO not organized…LOL. I wish I was more so. I don’t have a planner or anything – I just try to store everything in my head or on my cell (which doesn’t list NEARLY as much as I wish it did)…which, as a result of pregnancy/mom brain, is really struggling lately. I need a new system.

  65. Brittany says:

I am not a Mom but this would help me organize as I am am currently using a mix of Google Calendar on my phone and desktop and iCal on my Mac laptop. My husband runs his own business and I work full-time and am studying for the CPA exam so there are a lot of different obligations and activities to keep straight.

Plus it seems this would also be helpful for planning a week of workouts in advance and tracking meal planning.

  66. I tweeted @absoadequate

  67. Jen says:
  68. Becky Hess says:

I use Google Calendar and a fridge calendar, but they don’t always match! I need a calendar that can go out with me!

  69. I need this! I always just use my calendar at work, but then when I’m not at work- I don’t know what the heck is going on. Now, with Trevor starting (hopefully) at the fire department in a few weeks, I’m going to have to keep track of his schedule, too! I would LOVE a planner to help me out!

  70. Jessica says:

um, I’m not organized at all! I use ical sometimes, and a mini planner when I think of it, but I mainly rely on reminder dr. appt calls and evite event reminders!

  71. Samantha says:

Oh BA……..this is the answer to my prayers! I NEEEEEEEEEED this! I am the EXACT same way…regular planner, Outlook on my desktop, Google calendar on my phone (both of which are supposed to sync together BUT NEVER EFFING DO!!!!!!)…& my over-organization is just making me LESS organized! Argh!!!!!

  72. Lilly says:

I currently have some appointments on my blackberry, some work-related ones in outlook, some in a notebook, and I have to calendars at home (one in a borad that hasn’t been updated since April!). I need some help!

  73. Krista says:

I spend my life with NUMEROUS “to-do” lists, in numerous notebooks, as well as keeping my blackberry with endless reminders, appointments, and alarms VERY close at all times.
WHY do I need this??? Can I tell you that now remembering what I need to do with TWO children (one who is only 2 weeks old and one who is about to turn 2) is IMPOSSIBLE. I requested that this be my “push present” for our second, and getting it for free would just be the bees knees BA!!!!!

  74. Samantha says:

    Just tweeted it as “SamanthaV”!!!

  75. Jamaica says:

I currently use the calendar on my Iphone or scraps of paper with important dates everywhere that I then forget to put in my Iphone! I would love a momagenda to keep everything in one central location, plus I am old school and still like writing things down on paper :)

  76. Courtney says:

I have a small calendar (that does NOT have enough space to write things on), scraps of paper, a thing of sticky notes, a calendar on my phone and I am constantly emailing/texting myself things to remember. With all of this – I still mess up! I need one awesome place to write everything, that can fit in the diaper bag or my purse!

  77. Dara says:

I’ve been coveting a MomAgenda in a bad way. For the longest time, I’ve kept appointments/dates in my phone calendar as well as my Google Calendar. If those two things synced up, we’d be all good…but they do not. The two calendars never match up perfectly. It’s exhausting to keep up with everything!

  78. Jamaica says:

    I tweeted @teampeeps!

  79. Shelley J says:

    tweeted! @shellchocolate

  80. Sara says:

Seriously, my eyes just bugged out of my head. I have a bill calendar at home, which is sadly underused; plus I try to sync my work Outlook calendar with my iPod to keep up on everything else, buuuut then my boss could accidentally get notifications of friends’ kids’ birthdays… not that that’s actually happened.

    help.

  81. Shelley J says:

pretty sure I NEED this! I love day planners and LOVE to be organized. I am a total list girl.

  82. Lindsey says:

I currently use a printout calendar in my household binder but that is not very portable!

  83. The Mama says:

I have paper in my purse, and mainly I use my phone. Which is just plain NOT enough. I’ve been needing a new planner so badly, I’d love this one!!

  84. Allison says:

I need to stop tearing out pieces of paper and shoving them in my purse as reminders. I need help with meal planning since both my husband and I work until 6pm, and we have an almost 2 year old that needs to be fed, bathed and cuddled before bedtime. I need organization in my life!

  85. Sara says:

    I tweeted @ninjapanza :)

  86. Meari says:

I try to keep everything current in a google calendar, but not that I’m also keeping track of Weight Watchers Points… I have a book for that. I also have the work calendar…

Having everything in one place would be wonderful!

  87. Leslie says:

Hmmm…my organization consists of 2 different wall calendars (with different entries on each), a stack of post-it notes, and a stubby green marker. I could REALLY use this agenda!! :)

  88. Kelly says:

I could really use this. Right now I try to organize myself with a calender for work in Lotus notes, one on my Blackberry for personal stuff and then one on the fridge at home for family stuff. Doesn’t really work. Maybe I can make it all work with this new calendar and put it all in one place so I know what I’m doing. This looks like a great planner.

  89. Becky says:

I currently stay organized with a fridge counter but lately have been thinking something more portable would be nice. This would be very helpful!

  90. LIZ says:

I’m a momagenda-lover! I bought a spiral bound one on clearance…this year… it only had 6 usable months left in in…. but i knew i had to have it… and it’s already saved me more than once from making a fool of myself… forgetting things planned for the babe, the hubs or myself.!

I need this… my sanity for 2011-2012 depend on it… (otherwise I’ll be begging my hubs for one for christmas…so winning this would just make my life all the easier… )

    :)

  91. Jenn P says:

I am currently using a big wall calendar and google calendar which I try to sync with my iphone but it never gets everything..
I would love to win a momAgenda!!

  92. Elizabeth says:

I am terrible at staying organized so that’s the primary reason i NEED this!!!

  93. I use the calendar in my Google account but it’s a giant pain in the butt to add appointments and notes when I’m on the go. Technology is great but sometimes nothing beats pen and paper. I’d buy a fabulous pen to go with this fabulous paper if I win it!

  94. LIZ says:

    I tweeted!

    @makingsomegood

  95. Ashley H says:

I use outlook calendar(work), a monthly planner(work), iphone calendar(bills), iphone notes(books and to-do lists), refrigerator as a magnetic board(birthday invites), wall calendar(vacations), and countless yellow sticky notes(appointments). I call it organized chaos! I NEED it all in one place for me and my family’s sanity!!!

  96. Amy says:

I am a SAHM to 4 kiddos, 7, 5, 3, 1. The oldest two are girls. The youngest two are boys that require an insane amount of medical care. I currently am less than organized, so I think a momAgenda could help me keep my sticky notes and random scribblings to a minimum. I could have one place to keep track of teacher meeting, grocery lists, Dr appointments, and other household needs. MomAgenda could change my life!

  97. I tweeted about the giveaway! @SgtMsWife

  98. Ashley says:

OH, where to start? Let’s see…..I teach, I have a son, two dogs that need more visits to the vet than Heidi Montag does her plastic surgeon, a husband, a blog, a side handmade business, & other stuff I’m probably forgetting! I have calendar at school for grading & meetings & dealines & etc, a planner for my purse to put stuff on for son & husband & dog, a jumbled list for side business & blog, & a magnetic menu calendar on the frig. It’s really bad! I NEED to win this :)

  99. Ashley says:

    I tweeted! @sewcalledlife
