momAgenda: Council of Media Moms

I have a few tricks up my sleeve about succeeding as a working mom.  Or really, as a mom.  (how successful I am is up for debate, of course.) It’s all about staying organized.  Organized with work, listing chores, wrangling husband & toddler, scheduling blog posts.

This is how I do it:

With my momAgenda Desktop, perfect for on-the-go.

& my momAgenda Home Office Edition, which is larger & has tabs.

There’s a place for me to mark errands, client meetings, etc.  Then I have a section for Nate, a section for Harry, & then a place for my blog where I write down scheduled posts, invoices, dates, etc.   At the bottom, a space to write dinner plans (which is really coming in handy these days since I’ve dedicated myself to meal-planning).  momAgenda is pretty much the love child between my Type A tendencies & compartmentalizing brain.

I’ve been using my momAgenda Desktop for almost a year now & it is the butter to my bread & the granny to my padded toilet seat.  When momAgenda announced that I would be a member of their Council of Media Moms (COMM team), I got all fuzzy inside.

Which quickly turned to panic when I realized that I had to write a bio about myself.  But I survived.

Probably because I penned it’s due date in my planner & wrote it at the eleventh hour.

legal crap:  So what does being a member of momAgenda’s COMM team mean?  I will be writing a blog post once a month for them.  It will hopefully be more enlightened than the drivel I post here since I’ll be getting a compensation for my writing.   & in order for me to keep my head on straight with dates & obligations, momAgenda gifted me both the desktop (in 2010) & the home office edition (in 2011).   Good thing I like them even all on my own brain powers.

My obsession with lists and day planners has overcome my attempt to stop spending money this month (and its only the 6th!) — cant wait to start using!

  2. JM says:

Seriously, what is It with grandmas and padded toilet seats??? Seriously!!!

  3. Did you cringe a little writing this?

  4. Jenni M. says:

I have seriously been considering getting one of these, but I work at home with DH and have my first LO on the way. I THINK it’ll help me stay on top of stuff but then I realize I otherwise have no life… Should I take the plunge and get one and if so, which one?!

  5. Lindsey says:

I broke down and ordered one. I couldn’t resist – I love agendas and stationary, and school supplies – I think that’s why I became a teacher!
Anyway…I ordered the desktop. It’s a little bigger than I;m used to – do you find it comfortable to carry around in your purse? I like big purses anyway but I just want to be sure it’s not cumbersome.

Yes!! The desktop is perfect to carry around – I’m a big purse/tote bag/diaper bag kind of gal myself, so it’s not a problem. & I like the size & weight of it for recording things (I know that sounds dorky). The Home Office edition is too big to really take around, but it’s great for keeping in the house so that we can all see the day’s agenda.

      I hope you love it!
