Hero to zero.

This past Sunday, the weather graced us with blue skies & only a chill in the air – a much-needed break from rain & ice & freezing temperatures.  I pushed Nate out the door to the golf course, anxious for an afternoon alone with Harrison.

He’s been battling a little virus (I think) & is finally cutting his 8th tooth, so we headed out for a walk around the neighborhood to bring out a smile.  & oh my, that sweet smile!

He loves being outside & had the most EPIC tantrum when it was time to turn around.  He went completely boneless, sobbing hysterics with big fat tears streaming down his cheeks…all because Momma said it was time to turn around.  THE HORROR.   We received a few questioning looks from neighbors that were also outside enjoying the sunshine, but I held firm to Harrison’s hand & walked him back to our front porch.  It seemed like the afternoon was a wash, but then Nate pulled into the driveway & the light switch flipped – Harrison turned from an inconsolable gremlin to a smiling cherub squealing “DA!”

& just like that, I went from hero to zero.
