That resounding BOOM! heard throughout the universe a few weeks ago? That would be the opening of ModTots, the new arrival of Modern Bird Studios. Grown with great love, care, passion (but not that kind of passion), this new baby was swaddled with love & bubble wrap & delivered to the universe.
oh, hi Harrison the Fox!
Painted on wood, each Mod Tot piece is lovingly handcrafted by Gregg. The work is perfect. Darling. Ready to grace the walls of any nursery or playroom or office.
But my favorite part about Mod Tots is how they go about naming the art – essentially, the first person to purchase each piece gets the privilege to name the piece. You may have seen a slight tussle on Twitter between me & LawMomma as the monkey debuted. Each one of us was desperate to purchase naming & description rights first, but alas, LawMomma beat me to the punch. So Jude the Monkey was born:
But. That left the door open for the fox, which fit Harrison even more wonderfully.
This fox is named Harrison. Harrison is social, mischievous, intense, & charming. He loves trucks, climbing stairs for hours, & his Daddy. Just like the movies, this little fox finds his best & most loyal companion is his doggie. He is quick on his feet & agile, so watch your plate because he’ll sneak up behind you for a bite! Couldn’t you just die? & now every fox that is purchased will be known as Harrison the Fox. (there’s a hippo & I’m pretty sure it needs to be BA the Hippo in honor of my incredibly wide arse.)
& of course, every piece is signed by Gregg as he takes pride in his work.
