A few nights ago, Nate looked over & asked, “Hey, have you ever worn that robe I bought you last year?” ::gulp:: Does he mean that sexy black satin one that barely covers my backside? Errmmmm, no. That would still be hanging on the back of my closet door. & I think the tags are still attached. It’s not that I don’t like it or don’t appreciate feeling sexy. I do. But when I think about a robe, I think about chilly winter mornings with a hot cup of coffee, curled up on the floor while Harrison plays trucks.
When I think about comfort, I think about curling up in fuzzy fleece to ward off the chill. I think about beef stew or meatloaf & mashed potatoes on a cold night. A fireplace & Michael Buble playing in the background, because he’s always appropriate. Hot lattes with whipped cream while reading the latest issue of Southern Living. A bed packed with pillows & blankets & sheets so soft that you swear you’ll never wake up.
The comfort of ending each day in a warm, pretty house. Fuzzy robes. Warm Southern dishes. Tired yawns on a pillow. They all tell me that at the end of the day, things are going to be alright.
What brings you comfort? What brings you home & wraps you up until you know everything will be okay?
leave a comment & you’ll be entered to win a fabulous Jockey hooded wrap robe, retailed at $42.00!
(I happen to own this robe & am currently wrapped up in it while I write this & it is delicious. & it has a hood, which means I can put it on & pretend I’m a prize fighter while Nate is attempting to cook dinner.)

oooh that looks so comfy! I feel the same way you do about robes – I want them to be soft and warm and cozy! Awesome giveaway
that looks so cozy!
i love snuggling under a warm blanket with a hot cup of tea by the christmas tree.
What a great giveaway! I want in on this- my huz wishes that I’d prance around in a non-backside covering Vicky’s Secret nighty- but this is WAY more my style!
I wish I were wrapped up in that right now! Instead it’s only 12 degrees out and I’m stuck at work!!!
What brings me comfort and wraps me up until I know everything will be okay?? My down comforter. I bought it in 11th grade when I went to Europe on a music trip. It was the most expensive blanket I ever bought, but it is the most comfortable and warm thing to lay under. I’ve had it for 9 years and love it just as much as I did when I picked it out. It’s my comfort.
I love snuggling under my comforter in bed with a good re-run on TV Land!
Love it! I love to snuggle up with my kids and then my dog on my feet!
Just because I’m totally in love with myself I have to admit I knit an awesome red fuzzy blanket when I was pregnant with my son. It’s ridiculously puffy, warm and comforting when the world seems to be a dark and angry place. I think the thing that makes it so wonderful is that I made it double the size of a regular blanket so I can basically wrap myself up like a mummy and it’s a delicious feeling.
I love taking off my work clothes as quickly as I get home, and changing in to my warmest, comfiest clothes!
My comfort, a childhood blanket and being wrapped up in it on the couch. And sweatpants, they fix just about everything.
My little sweetie’s smiles and giggles wrap me up in love and fleece pj pants seal the deal for a comfortable night.
I love snuggling up on the couch with my husband and our matching blankets from Restoration Hardware.
Being held by my husband, cuddles from my baby daughter, a warm, cozy blanket, snuggling with my dog, a hug from my Mom, a long phone call with a friend = things that bring me comfort! Oh, and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.
Watching my son play in my favorite sweatshirt (that I stole from my hubby), yoga pants, and Christmas socks….heaven.
You know, I’ve been asking for a robe for the last bazillion years we’ve been married but my husband refuses to buy me one that is comfy. I also have a silk one that wouldn’t warm an ice cube (is that a bad reference?) Anyways, I should just hanker down and buy one for myself or I could just win this one
I have THE most comfy couch blacket. I love to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV until my brain can relax from the day that just past.
The snooze button!
Warm fuzzy socks and pajama pants and a big fleece in the middle of the night when I’m working to get my little boy back to sleep in his own bed….
Snuggling under my electric blanket with a good book when the H is out of town, otherwise snuggling with him and my 1 year old on the couch (usually reading).
This Robe + Hot Chocolate = Heaven
Taking today off work to go Christmas shopping!
Oooh, I want to pretend to be a prize fighter! My comfort definitely is on the couch when it’s cold outside, surrounded by blankets, with a cup of something warm in my handeither watching a movie or reading a book. Ahhh.
That looks so comfy!
I’m a little embarrassed that for me the comfort more revolves around food…for me, popcorn in the pan, some wine, hot tea, or maybe homemade pizza. Sitting on my couch and looking around at a clean apartment and feeling relaxed!
My almost 3 year old daughter pats my back (like you would if you were shushing a baby) when I hug her. That’s instant comfort to me.
that sounds nice and cozy… I would love that robe. I love hot chocolate with whipped cream and fuzzy socks and slippers.
I have had the same robe for 10 years now, so I could really use a new one, and this one does look so very comfy!
I don’t own a robe and would love the one in the pic—looks so nice and cozy!
This time of year, I absolutely love curling up on my leather couch with a warm, fuzzy blanket, with the Christmas tree lights glowing. In the mornings, my idea of comfort is not-so-cute. I get ready wearing my monogrammed towel wrap and extremely unattractive thick socks with grips on the bottom. I think it’s safe to say this giveaway would complete my cold mornings in the bathroom
That robe looks fabulous. My dog brings me comfort. It seems silly, but he’s always there for me – especially at night when my husband is working.
Comfort? Comfort is snuggled up with my honey and our furbabies insisting on sitting right next to us. Everyone is safe and warm.
Big fluffy bed, lots of pillows, a good book and no one home. Ahhh! A robe would only add to that comfort-ness.
2 words: fat pants. The second I get home from work I change into sweats or PJ pants and it instantly gets me relaxed.
Wrapping one of my grandmother’s afghans around myself and one (or both) of the dogs and burrowing in with a good book (preferably on my Kindle, so I can read one-handed!). THAT is comfort! Oh, a nice Blue Moon brewskie doesn’t hurt either, depending on the night
That hood looks soooooo cozy!
Oooohhh….I love that robe!!
ahhh it even LOOKS cozy!
I love this!!! My robe is about 6 years old and does not have a hood. This would be perfect!
omg. love this!
it looks so cozy. it would be perfect as it has been a low around zero each day this week
So need a nice robe. Our little house was obviously poorly made with very little insulation. Sully’s room always gets hot while the rest of us FREEZE.
Comfort = my new pajamas. Red, with a HOOD, and a penguin design. Made from the same material as a Snuggie. Sometimes I actually get TOO warm wearing them, and that’s saying a lot, living in an old house through a Canadian winter…
this time of year i’m comfortable at home in my huge comfy chair and ottoman curled up in pj pants and a huge t-shirt with a cup of hot cocoa! it helps if my daughter is snuggled up next to me, my husband is nearby on the sofa, and my dog is at my feet! if it’s cold enough the gas logs are on and soon we’ll have a christmas tree to look at, too!
the thing that gives me the most comfort and makes me want to come home, is when my husband wraps his arms around me. everything else falls away
Oh, that looks so comfy! I love being snuggled up by the fire, watching a movie with my family.
I like to get cozy in some fluffy socks. I think the robe would be perfect for that!
I love that robe! It looks so warm and cozy. I love curling up on the couch with my hubby and boys watching a movie with a cup of hot tea.
It does not bring me comfort that I clicked on the link to the robe and my school internet filter popped up and blocked the site as R Rated. Errr….it was just a robe. I promise.
Anyway, I find comfort in talking to my Mama. She has a very grounding presence on my life.
I also find comfort in a nice glass of pinot greeeeeeg or sauv blanc. Mmmmm.
I love super comfy robes!
I love the smell my house gets when I make tortillas, because it reminds me of how my Grands’ house smelled when she’d make them.
I need a new robe like I need to lose 10 lbs!
I find comfort in pepperment coffee creamer, hearing the heat click on in the winter, and peeking at the video monitor to see my little monster all snuggled up with her blanky. : )
Are you kidding me? That looks so yummy and comfy!
Thanks for the chance!
Momma to 3

Curling up on the couch with a warm cup of cider or coffee to read a trashy romance novel before going to bed, listening to my son “sing” (it really sounds more like wails and babbles at this point) Christmas music to get himself to sleep, and putting up Christmas decorations while watching those old faithful Christmas movies like “Ernest Saves Christmas”.
Would LOVE to win!
Curling up on the couch with a warm blanket makes it all better!
To be honest, what brings me the most comfort is my yellow lab. No matter what happened during the course of my day, I come home, grab a glass of wine, sit on the couch, and he curls right up beside me and makes things perfect. He’s warm and fuzzy, without the hood though
reading bedtime stories with my toddler in his fleece footie pj’s, all fresh-smelling after his bath. the kid is like a perpetual heatrock!
Hot chocolate…hum
My puppies give me comfort. One good squeeze and I start to feel better
I live in Minnesota so anything warm and cozzy is always a comfort!
I have a blanket that a friend made for my mom when she was sick. After she passed, I kept the blanket because it made me think of her and I know the blanket was made with love. I love the blanket because it’s so warm and cozy…and mom.
My 7.5 month old son almost ALWAYS sleeps in his crib in the nursery across the hall. But sometimes, when my man and I are up really late at night, we’ll so swoon over him all tucked in and looking like a little snuggly angel, and we’ll scoop him up and bring him to sleep in our bed.
Those nights are very few and far between, but they’re my favorite. We cuddle up with him between up and hug and kiss on him all night long. These moments are the most joyful and comforting I can think of.
Love the robe! I wanna be a prized fighter, too!!
I only found your blog about two months ago (looking for PPD stuff) and read through the entire archives to catch up and signed up for the RSS feed. However, lately there seems to be a lot of giveaways and product promotions as opposed to content. I’d really like to read more of your writings instead of this stuff even if it means you don’t post as frequently. I know, I know, I could just not read your blog – but I really want to read the posts with content.
I love snuggling with my 2 girls on the couch watching princess movies!
Much love for robes
I currently own way too many too count but could always use one that is not pink.
On the couch under my fleece blanket watching OnDemand episodes I missed throughout the week!
I need a new robe, and this one looks so COMFY! Living in MN, I need something warm!
That looks like it even SMELLS cozy!
I love curling up in front of a fire place and sink into a warm blanket or sweater. So nice.
I find comfort in my fleece jammies, curled up on the couch with a blanket and the huz watching movies that make us laugh our ass off!
That robe looks awesome!
Pajamas, a warm fire, room lit by the Christmas tree, hot chocolate, and a lightly scented candle burning while cuddling with the dogs, hubby, and baby. That is comfort.
Hot cocoa and christmas lights! I love this time of year
Ooh, I need a nice cozy robe like this! The only one I have is very light & summer-ish. I’m freezing right now!
That robe looks amazing!! I love curling up on the couch to watch a Christmas movie with the hubs, my little man and sweet baby girl, coffee in hand, the soft glow from the Christmas tree and of course a few Christmas cookies. That’s comfort wrapped up in a nice little package!
Plus I would totally pretend to be a prize fighter too…that’s so bad ass!
Comfort for me is slipping into a pair of those thick, soft comfy socks that you would never leave the house in. My hubby buys me 2 or 3 pairs for my stocking every year at Christmas
That looks for cozy and wonderful! My favourite thing to do is curl up on the couch with a good book, a fire, and warm drink!
We’ve been sick here, so I’m all about comfort right now! Curling up on the couch in a warm blanket, Mrs. Grass’s soup in a giant mug, tea with honey. I love being inside when it’s snowing and watching the world turn white.
Cushy blankets, soft pillows (lots of ‘em), my husband, our baby and puppy….all in one bed.
Coming home at the end of a long day and curling up with my fur-babies brings me comfort.
This robe looks faulous! Nothing better than comfort clothes, awww…. Would love to win this!
That looks pretty fantastic. My husband and baby boy bring me comfort – there is just nothing better in the world than hanging out at home with them! Little guy in his fleece sleeper, DH in his thermal that makes his chest look oh-so-sexy, and me in a ponytail and pj pants; coffee brewing, Christmas music or Jack’s Big Music Show on the TV … ahhh, that’s the life.
I actually asked for a new one for Christmas. I currently sport a pink flannel VS one that comes down to the floor and looks like it is from the 80′s. It might actually be.
That looks sooo cozy!!
I’ve never owned a robe. But I’ve always wanted one.
And that one looks SO pretty and comfy.
I love wrapping up in a blanket on the couch, snuggling with my baby boy, and watching some good TV.
For me, it’s simple. Comfort = pajamas.
This robe looks awesome! I would love to win : )
I find comfort in knowing that I am loved by my husband, my beautiful daughter, my family and my God. Oh, and I also find comfort in hot chocolate – preferably with peppermint, but that’s not quite as enduring.
What brings me comfort? A big, warm brownie with a cold glass of milk!!!
What brings me home? My three favorite men!! My husband and two boys are my life!!
That robe looks super comfy…and I am jealous of your warmth and snuggliness.
That robe? Amazing.
Comfort to me is the smell of warm cookies fresh from the oven, soft lighting from candles or a Christmas tree, a warm house, and both my boys snuggled up with me on the sofa.
And the smell of cinnamon. I don’t know why, but it’s really comforting.
Currently what brings me comfort is a large peppermint mocha from Starbucks. I think I may be addicted….help….!
A warm house with everyone (including the dog) all snuggled up. There’s nothing better then a calm Sunday night when we’re all content with each other’s company, good food and some football.
I love being snuggled up in a robe and a fuzzy blanket with my loves. Cuddles from my baby girl remind me that we are going to be ok
Maternity leave is coming up quickly, so a new robe is definitely in order!
I laughed out loud at this post I have a pink and black silky robe in my closet from the hubby too, in perfect condition. It just doesn’t feel right to throw that over sweats and pack lunches in the morning! Here’s hoping I win something more practical.
Hmm I currently don’t own a robe, so this would be nice!!
Warm, thick socks, cotton pj pants, and a hoodie keep me warm. I also usually enjoy a warm cup of homemade hot chocolate. I don’t currently own a robe, but I am thinking I need one since it is easier to get on and off than a hoodie, especially when getting up in the middle of the night if the baby needs me.
Comfort is super comfy fleece pants and a sweatshirt wrapped up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate. Oh, how I wish I was there now!
yay! so exciting. this robe is super cute & with a hood? Brilliant.
This looks so nice & warm!!!! Definitely needed in these cold, winter months in Michigan. Thanks for the chance to win.
