Monica, I did the SAME THING.
I was like, “NO. You did not just say that. OH MY GOD, you did. Why would you say that? Because it’s funny. BUT IT SHOULDN’T BE FUNNY. But it is. BUT IT FEELS SO WRONG.”
& then I just gave in to fits of giggles because the entire conversation was just so ridiculous.
Also? It trailed on the heels of us singing the hymn “He Lives” (aka Easter music) the entire ride home. Why? I don’t know.
Yeah, and I bet he peed in the shower too…
and also? Jesus pooped. Because as we know…everybody poops.

You should read (you know, in your ample spare time (ha)) LAMB by Christopher Moore. It’s hilarious and about what Jesus would have been like as an adolescent and what it would have been like to be his best friend. It’s the story of that told by Biff, Jesus’s fictional BFF. It sounds sacrilegious, but I thought it was quite well done. That’s what this reminded me of.
LAMB is a great book…and this post was funny. I am thinking Jesus farted about as often as the Tooth Fairy…no?
