OMG, NYC. WTF.
Obviously, my ability to describe New York & Blogher has been reduced to three-letter acronyms. Because it was so awesome that there are simply no words. & one post cannot do it justice, so unfortunately for those of you that are SO STINKIN’ SICK OF HEARING ABOUT EFFING BLOGHER ALREADY, I should apologize now for an entire week of OMG BLOGHER. There’s just…so much.
See? I’m rambling again. Tell me to shut it.
So yesterday, I got stuck in JFK airport for five hours because in the time it took me to curbside-check my luggage & then walk to security, my flight got cancelled.

Which I was really pleased about, as you can tell.
I used it to work. To read. To people-watch with a cup of coffee. To reflect back. & I wrote it all down, including a new McFatty Monday post. On my laptop. That is currently out of commission. Oops.
Things I learned About McFatty Monday at Blogher 10:
1) Admit to gains, setbacks, plateaus. It makes you human & relatable.
2) Because nobody likes perfect, even in weight loss.
& y'all know that I am far from perfect.
3) Do small challenges for readers that are obtainable & fun. (What would y’all like to see? The 100 push-up challenge? No soda for a week? Something healthy, fitness, but not relying upon the scale.)
4) That I can participate in a 5K, even if I didn’t run the entire time. & even though I was wearing a tutu.

5) That I actually LIKE picking fruits & veggies to eat off a buffet. I ate far more green beans than potatoes, scarfed down portobello mushroom slices, & put fruit in my oatmeal each morning.
6) That even though the scale has been disappointing lately…y’all, I’ve come a long-ass way. I was proud to tell everyone that I was sponsored by Nutrisystem. That I’ve dropped over 25 lbs with them. That it works.
I like being a walking advertisement & testimony.

for the first time in a long time, I was pleased with how thin
I looked. which made me rock the confidence. awesome feeling!
7) So keep it up, y’all. Because I’m not going anywhere on McFatty Monday. We are SO GOING TO DO THIS. BRING IT.
8) I’m back with a renewed energy, that I’ll write more about later when I pop the pollution & city filth from my pores & catch up on the sleep I lost while shaking my ass at Sparklecorn.

Girl, that picture in the hotel is almost unrecognizable as you. You look great. I’m not jealous so I am interested in hearing more about BlogHer.
Glad you had fun!
Woohoo for weight loss! I jumped back on the McFatty Wagon and lost 2.5 lbs last week! Yay for rocking the skinny jeans and the confidence!

I can’t wait to hear your BlogHer recap. I am insanely jealous but also happy for you. And I want to hear what it’s all about! One thing is for sure . . . I’m headed to San Diego next August with my newly designed WP blog
You look great, by the way!
you are so freakin’ hot in that picture!!! And is your hair more blonde?
I don’t mind you talking about Blogher, so bring it on. I am on the McFatty bandwagon and can’t wait to see more progress from you as inspiration! You look awesome in that tutu and the jeans pic is hawt lady!
So I guess this makes me human and relatable.

LOVE the tutu! And I like the idea of a weekly non-scale related challenge!
You truly LOOK AMAZING!!! I’m so proud of you and all the strides you’ve made. Of admitting when you slipped and having the will power to get right back on track. Awesome!
Have a great time in NYC and can’t wait to hear more!
You look fantastic, and I think weekly challenges would be great!
http://www.thesweetlife-olivea.blogspot.com
You rock. Plain and simple.
I think it’s great that blogher has re-motivated you and I think it’s funny that what they said is exactly what was frustrating me lately about your posts.
Suddenly you stopped saying your loss, gain, remain the same weight, you put the scale away more than once and didn’t reveal if you gained or lost or how much… and I was super bummed because it was like ” WTF, why can’t you just be open about it? I’m human, you’re human, now prove it”
I’m so glad, and so excited for you to get back on the wagon here!
Once again, you inspire me, not only for weight loss, but for your drive and ability to see good from every angle, whether you lose, gain, or plateau; good days and bad days, you learn something. I need to jump back on the McFatty wagon before I lose any motivation I may have had, so please accept me back after being a failure!
I’m so happy you had such a positive experience at BlogHer, we’re all jealous!
http://outofrealworld.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/so-effing-sick-of-excuses/
sounds like a great time… and you do look so cute in that hotel photo…!
as far as challenges… i’m done with soda – starting today… so i’d love a push-up or sit-up challenge!
You are looking HAWT! In both the jeans and the tutu
Where I cry uncle and post my first fatty picture.

Want to her all about Blogher. Please do tell. Love your hotel pic. WOW! Your bolg is so awesome because you come accross as human-imperfect, you inspire me without making me feel depressed that I can’t be more like some unattainable person represented in a blog that does not tell the whole truth.
YAY! glad to hear you’re feeling reenergized. Exercising is just like everything else in life, you have your good days and your bad days. Just keep it up!
Ah! You look flippin’ amazing!
Can’t wait to hear about your NYC adventures
25 is awesome & you look great! I’ve dropped a few lbs myself
http://www.ajdplusthree.com/2010/08/scale.html
I don’t care what the scale says. You are looking fantastic! Must be coming from the inside out.
good work girl, you look great!
BlogHer sounds awesome, I want to hear all about it!
I hope your McFatty Mondays can instill some much needed energy in me, because I’m struggling. Struggling big time. Inspire me, please!
http://www.alaskanalison.blogspot.com
Oh- andplusalso, you look ROCKIN. Also I love the blonde hair!
Sorry. I am a LITTLE tired of Blogher talk…that’s probably jealousy talking
OK. My challenge? I’d like to see you have/try a different vegetable every day – and include the recipe in your “bites” section. Let me know if you try it! (PS This is totally selfish. I hate trying to come up with ways to try new veggies and would love to have someone else do all of the work.)
Whatev. If someone is being a butt about BlogHer tweets and posts it’s their problem. Yes I’m jealous, but not of y’all. It wasn’t feasible for me to go this year. But next? You better be there sassy britches because I will! I can’t WAIT to see your pictures! It’s so neat so see the twitpics of my favorite bloggers all together! So post away, I’m dying for details!
You look fabulous!!!!!
You look amazing!! Congrats on losing 25 lbs!! Totally jealous of all the blogher talk! Can’t wait to hear more!! xoxo!
You look GREAT Blair and we are excited to hear all about BLOGHER.
I want to know how you got Nutri System to sponsor you.
Yes, I agree with the others – I’d LOVE to hear about BlogHer. I really don’t know much about it, except for the fact that it’s an absolute blast and you get to hang out with some pretty amazing women!
I really like your #3 idea – the small attainable goals completely unrelated to the scale. We put way too much emphasis on that stupid thing.
Oh and you do look great!
Look at you! You look amazing!
I need to jump on the McFatty bandwagon! After reading about your progress I think its time to loose the rest of the baby bulge.
What fun the 5K avec Tutu must have been:)
Damn you Blair! Just when I was about to close the door on McFatty Mondays because I’m sick of being mediocre at pretty much everything I do these days, #1 struck a chord. And I like the idea of #3, the small, fun challenges. And your #6, because your 25 lbs is a long ass way and while I’m not thrilled with how I’m doing in the moment, I’ve done well too (down 15 from pre-preg).
So I’m back. And I’m here to stay. Thanks for the inspiration.
http://auntp.blogspot.com/2010/08/mcfatty-monday-week-30-lacking.html
You’re so hot. I can’t even stand it. And I don’t want to be on a plane anymore.
So glad you had a safe and wonderful trip!
And really, you should be proud of those 25 pounds…that is amazing progress, no matter how you look at it. Plus, you look great!
I love the idea of the little challenges (especially if they don’t involve the scale!) No soda for a week would be a huge challenge for me, but I would totally give it a shot.
Since you asked…Maybe 15 minutes of exercise every day for a week, or something ridiculous, like a half hour of hula hooping while wearing heels (photos would be required, natch). I like the idea of doing the recipes, too…maybe a recipe contest for yummy veggies and you could share the top 3-5, one per day for a week or something.
So excited for your renewed enthusiasm…it really is contagious!
Wait, so what’s with the tutu?
Congrats on the confidence! It makes such a huge difference when you FEEL wonderful. Today was my 1st McFatty post even though I’ve been with you since the start. Thanks for the inspiration and keep it up.
Based on how skinny you are in this pic I guess you did not go to any of the cupcake joints I recommended. You look great!!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed the City!
Lovely my dear! You look lovely!!!
You look so good Blair! I am definately pumped about BlogHer ’11! I’m debating on whether or not to try Nutrisystem. I’ve been struggling with my weight loss just because I can’t seem to eat the right things ever. I try but fail.
http://diamondsonthefloor.blogspot.com/2010/08/i-do-it-all-for-cookies.html
I love that tutu picture! I would love to do a no fast food for a week challenge. I wanted to do fast food free February, but my hubband couldn’t hang, and the smell of french fries made me toooo weak!
You look amazing!!!!
your are awesome Blair!
You look awesome! Look at those black stretch pants!! Woo hoo! I’m working on the post baby belly at the moment. So that’s…going.
AND, I keep wanting to know more about BlogHer because I didn’t get to go! I’ve got a 10 week old, so getting away this past weekend would have been hard. But I’m all over it next year!
Wow those shoes are stunning!
I am so glad you had such an amazing time in New York!
How about an “Add one more vegetable than you usually eat per day” challenge?
I adore the confidence that is just oozing out of you.
Oh, and keep talking about Blogher! I enjoy reading about it:).
dude, yes please to the No Soda Challenge… i need one. and, also, you look fabulous. well done, mama.
You look great Blair!
