OMG, NYC. WTF.
Obviously, my ability to describe New York & Blogher has been reduced to three-letter acronyms. Because it was so awesome that there are simply no words. & one post cannot do it justice, so unfortunately for those of you that are SO STINKIN’ SICK OF HEARING ABOUT EFFING BLOGHER ALREADY, I should apologize now for an entire week of OMG BLOGHER. There’s just…so much.
See? I’m rambling again. Tell me to shut it.
So yesterday, I got stuck in JFK airport for five hours because in the time it took me to curbside-check my luggage & then walk to security, my flight got cancelled.

Which I was really pleased about, as you can tell.
I used it to work. To read. To people-watch with a cup of coffee. To reflect back. & I wrote it all down, including a new McFatty Monday post. On my laptop. That is currently out of commission. Oops.
Things I learned About McFatty Monday at Blogher 10:
1) Admit to gains, setbacks, plateaus. It makes you human & relatable.
2) Because nobody likes perfect, even in weight loss.
& y'all know that I am far from perfect.
3) Do small challenges for readers that are obtainable & fun. (What would y’all like to see? The 100 push-up challenge? No soda for a week? Something healthy, fitness, but not relying upon the scale.)
4) That I can participate in a 5K, even if I didn’t run the entire time. & even though I was wearing a tutu.

5) That I actually LIKE picking fruits & veggies to eat off a buffet. I ate far more green beans than potatoes, scarfed down portobello mushroom slices, & put fruit in my oatmeal each morning.
6) That even though the scale has been disappointing lately…y’all, I’ve come a long-ass way. I was proud to tell everyone that I was sponsored by Nutrisystem. That I’ve dropped over 25 lbs with them. That it works.
I like being a walking advertisement & testimony.

for the first time in a long time, I was pleased with how thin
I looked. which made me rock the confidence. awesome feeling!
7) So keep it up, y’all. Because I’m not going anywhere on McFatty Monday. We are SO GOING TO DO THIS. BRING IT.
8) I’m back with a renewed energy, that I’ll write more about later when I pop the pollution & city filth from my pores & catch up on the sleep I lost while shaking my ass at Sparklecorn.
