I’m leaving for New York City today.
I’m sure that would be fine if I weren’t so socially awkward. & afraid of getting punched in the mouth the first time I say, “Excuse me, y’all!” in my ever-so-sorority-girly-voice that raises five octaves & decibels when I’m nervous.
{Which, I am.}
Nervous, that is.
I got so nervous that I painted my toenails
blue.
Which is so very unlike me. & I’m torn on whether I love the whimsy & cotton-candy un-Blair-ness of it, or if I should bail really fast & go get a pedicure with a signature pinkish-red.
at least my Gussy tote is packed.
with a laptop, journal, planner, iTouch, & 3 oz. toiletries.
p.s. HOW ON EARTH AM I GOING TO SURVIVE WITHOUT MY BOYS FOR FOUR DAYS?!

You’ll do fine, but I totally understand the high voice thing. Why is it when I’m on the phone with my doctor making an appointment I sound like Minnie Mouse?
Also, just the mention of cotton candy made me reach for my Charms Fluff and Stuff…and it’s not even noon!
I too would be a wreck. I go to my happy place in times like these, or drug myself with legal narcotics or colorful drinks

I loved visiting the city, but as a small town southern girl, it was kinda stressful getting around. People kept asking me to say different words for them.
