Today, our faithful McFatty friend “Metta” is hosting McFatty Monday. She emailed me a few weeks ago, asking if I would mind her hosting because she really felt the need & urgency & responsibility to run it for a day. & boy, did she! Look! I have ankles & feet! (this still amazes me because I never thought I’d see them again while I was pregnant) I’ve looked worse in a bathing suit. I’ve also looked better, but that was almost a decade ago. & I think I’ve finally found the right suit & the right confidence to really not care about that pouch of skin under my belly button, or the stretch marks ON MY KNEES from the swelling. Because I’ve worked hard in every way possible for THIS body – I worked hard for 10 months to create & carry life, thus wreaking havoc on parts of my figure (namely my hips). & I’ve busted my ass for 6 months to drop over 30 lbs & embrace this new “me.”
Remind me of that when I’m on the beach this coming weekend, okay?
