Is hostessing even a word? I don’t think so. But I love it!
A little over a week ago, I won this DARLING apron off another website – I know, right?! I won! I never win anything!

I love hosting parties. I host an EPIC Tacky Sweater/Cookie Exchange Christmas party every year for my girlfriends, I can host a mean sleepover for married, adult women, & as y’all saw, I can whip together a classy brunch pretty well. Because I LOVE IT. I own three china patterns, just about every serving dish imaginable, & can pour a fantastic martini.
So Scarlet Threads is offering y’all a 10% off discount to their store with the code blairelovesaprons (yes, blair with an “e”).
Before we moved to China, we learned about Fair Trade, a growing global economic movement that uses trading partnerships to alleviate poverty. Quite simply, in traditional trade models, the artisan responsible for crafting the vase on your desk might have worked in a sweat-shop and been paid a few pennies for their work. In Fair Trade, artisans are paid fair wages and provided safe working environments. It’s a revolutionary model that results in transformed communities and lives, and we’ve been looking for ways to launch a small-scale Fair Trade project to benefit our community. In the summer of 2009, we met our first seamstress. After doing a few small projects for us, we grew more and more impressed with her skill and attention to detail. We learned that she wanted to do more work to help support her family, and our idea for Scarlet Threads was born.

Well hot damn, if I can look at good as you in that apron and host as well as you then I want one!
I think I'm jealous of your kitchen. Do you have color pictures somewhere?? I'm fairly certain I need to stalk your house.
If wearing one of their aprons will help me to look as cute as you do, then I must order one!
The Lucy & Olivia aprons are too cute! I'd love to win this one!
I love wearing aprons — I even bought a small one with a lady bug on it for my daughter!
I as well love hosting! Try to do it once a month and adding an apron to my wardrobe would be Amazing!
I'm always the group hostess, they call me the "mom" of everyone
, I would love this!
Love the apron! I have two very frilly aprons that I don't wear enough – you've made me want to run home and put one on!
Hostessing is TOTALLY a word.
This is great! Thanks so much for supporting fair trade. After touring several sweatshops in Central America that were in "free trade zones," I'm all for fairly traded merchandise.
Can I just say that I totally twitter stalked you yesterday through another RDU blogger and I am so glad I did! I hope you are having the best birthday ever!
I love the aprons! Unfortunately the only one I have is a black one purchased by the hubby as a xmas gift one year. I personally would like something with a little more zip!
PS. I love the Elle & Savannah ones.
Love, love, love that Scarlet Threads is fair trade!
Love it! You = awesomeness in that apron
