When I was first pregnant, I was all “I AM NOT GOING TO BE THAT CRAZY BLANKET LADY.” Three & done, folks. Three & done. Why on earth would anyone need more than three blankets?!
Don’t you love the blissful ignorance of those that are not mothers yet (I say that with love as I was once one)? Thankfully, people around me knew better & I had a TON of blankets for my winter baby that loved to vomit all over everything. We went through at least two blankets per day. Three if we went into public. Multiply that by a week & you have around 15 blankets to wash, unless you do more laundry (I try to avoid laundry at all costs). Needless to say, my blankets are already looking a little rough & tired so when Terri of Cherry Blossom Baby contacted me about a blanket, I jumped on it.

Y’all…I know that it may seem that I only rave about products I review & rarely criticize, but that’s because I am very careful about what I review. & these blankets? Are awesome. The front part is made with DARLING cowboys that is heavy enough for play time, but soft enough to snuggle. & the bank is like minky (think changing pad cover). ADORE. Terri also had a great idea to round the corners, just as an inspiration to be different.
Also, regarding your question about the rounded corners, my mother and I came up with the idea, we we’re trying to create something unique that would set us apart from other blanket manufacturers and we wanted a corner that wasn’t “pointy” in order to give babies a softer/gentler satin binding to hang on to.
New babies: Super soft snuggle blanket that is great for strollers. Or, it’s strong/heavy enough to wrap around the middle of a colicky baby for comfort (we did this with Harry all the time).
Older babies: Play blanket, as seen above. Harrison loves rolling around with it & nuzzling the soft side. & he LOVES the ribbon on the edges – it’s almost like a taggy blanket with all the different types of fabric.
