I like how it’s updated.  I have officially lost ALL pregnancy weight.  Nate said yesterday that it must feel good to be able to battle everything emotionally without having to worry about my physical self.  So insightful.  Because he’s SO RIGHT – it’s so much easy to focus on my  mental health, on my family, on my work, without worrying about how I cannot fit into any clothes & how I feel ugly.  It’s one less thing off the plate & at this point (don’t hate me), weight loss is becoming FUN.  The “must” part of the loss is finished, which means that the rest is no-pressure, just for fun so that I can feel fantastic about myself.  Because I’m enjoying the healthier I become.

Which includes exercise.  As y’all know, I have REALLY struggled to find time to exercise but at this point, it’s like medicine for my anxiety & depression.  So I walk on my lunch break when it’s nice, jog after Harry goes to bed, & sometimes, he is my exercise!

When Lauren from Texas posted a funny workout video about dads & babies, I was nearly rolling laughing.  & then Kate contacted me, asking if I would be interested in putting together a workout routine for moms & babies.  Because she’s all gorgeous & skinny & athletic.  ABSOLUTELY.  I need that!  I was having such a hard time committing to Jillian Michael’s when Harrison was grinning up at me from his bouncer.  But this allows me to play with Harry AND exercise.

The Exercises

  1. Hammer Squats
  2. Abdominal Curls
  3. Baby Press
  4. Lateral Raises
  5. Oblique Twists
  6. Baby Pushups
  7. Shoulder Press

& now for a VERY EMBARRASSING VIDEO of yours truly attempting these exercises.  Especially when my shirt rides up & you see the “muffin top” that every mother except Heidi Klum is blessed with.  So turn up “Let’s Get Physical” & bust a baby groove!

It’s fuzzy because our Flip was out of battery, so it was done on our camera.  Which may be a good thing that lack of high-definition viewing of my belly fat didn’t just cause many people to dig our their eyes with dull spoons.  Also, I’m watching this  now & realize that I have terrible form. eep!  So maybe it was good that I did film it!
