Easter 2010

We hope you had a wonderful Easter!  The sun was BRIGHT & it was a hot, hot day – such a change from where we’re normally shivering in our Easter dresses!

Really, REALLY bright.  Too bright for Harry:

I KNOW.  He looks like a grown-up.  It’s like one day he was this tiny little infant and then BAM! he could sit up & wear button-downs & seer sucker like any good Southern gentleman.

The Momma looked beautiful & classy, as always.  Although we’re not quite sure when brown became an appropriate Easter dress color!

That’s it for now – the best pictures are on my parent’s camera, so I’ll try to get my hot little hands on them by the end of this week.  Here’s all my love to Jesus & candy in baskets!

See? I’m not infallible.

Picture 4 See? Im not infallible. ::sigh::  This would be the first week where I lost no weight.  (for those that ask, all of my charts are from Nutrisystem’s website)  I take full responsibility since I spent most of my “nice” lunch breaks on conference calls versus working & I did my fair share of putting a dent in the Puppy Chow a bestie made for me.

& in over 3 months, it HAD to happen at some point.  I am working out more, so I’m gaining muscle.  & I’m feeling AMAZING about myself -I no longer cringe when I look at pictures of me & Harry, I’ve dropped 2 sizes, & oh yeah…

I’M IN MY PRE-PREGNANCY JEANS!!!!  umm…the fat ones.  BUT THEY ARE PRE-PREGNANCY JEANS & I’M ROCKING THEM.  I’m also in all pre-pregnancy work slacks & skirts & ended up having to run out on Friday & purchase a new pair of brown slacks so that I would stop looking like a hobo at work who’s clothes didn’t fit:

I should have taken a side-portrait.  It was BAD.  The pants were MASSIVELY un-flattering & are now in the Goodwill pile, so have no fear.  But the next day with warmer weather, HELLO, clothing that I have not seen in over 18 months!

You see that  yellow shirt?  Eff it, how could you not?  I think it practically glows in the dark.  Anywho, I bought it when I couldn’t even fit into it.  It’s an XL from Target & I cried when I bought it but swore to myself I’d be in it by Easter.  & BAM!  I am so proud to say that I rocked that Big Bird Top the Thursday before Easter (I KNOW, SINFUL to wear capris & open-toed shoes before Easter, but it was 80 degrees, y’all)

p.s.  remember this post?  I’m totally doing that again with spring clothes, plus an update on WHY I never updated regarding my winter wardrobe.

So, where does this leave me on the McFatty Train?  Only 12.5 lbs away from  my original goal of 184 lbs.  & only a little over 20 lbs away from my new goal of 175 lbs.  That’s right – I’m going for it.  Because I have a few GORGEOUS size 10 dresses that I REFUSED to part with when I began gaining weight, & I’m so close to getting back into them that I can almost taste it.  To be able to rock them to Blogher in August would be a dream come true.  So after a month hiatus to level out my brain chemically & just give me breathing room with one less thing to worry about, I’m back on Nutrisystem as of this morning.  & LOVING IT STILL.  I cannot wait to see what it will do for me this week, or if it will “bump” me off this plateau.

Have you adjusted any of your goals based on your success?  Have you changed your approach to weight loss at all (ie started on one program, switched to another)?  Have you ever taken a break & then picked it back up again?  If so, what were your results?
