    My Little Buffalo

Being snowed in is NOT good for my willpower.

Let’s set the record straight – it is HARD to be “good” when you’re snowed in with a husband that could literally lick an entire potato chip bag clean & still lose a pound.  & for two days, I’ve been locked inside with a man & a fridge full of “forbidden foods.”  Nate made chili.  Biscuits & gravy for breakfast.  & cookies.  & stuffed crust pizza.  He nommed on chips & dip with breakfast beers.  & had the nerve to ask me this evening if we had ice cream in the freezer.

MEN!

& because this is McFatty Monday, I will admit – I caved yesterday.  I had chili for lunch.  Not that bad, right?  Lean ground turkey meat, tomatoes, beans.  Healthy portion.  All was fine & dandy until I snuck a cookie.  & then another.  & then had pizza.  OH MY GOD.  What are you doing, Blair?!?!  ::alarm bells going off in head::  IS THAT PIZZA WORTH IT?!

errmm…apparently so.  Because I totally ate three slices.  They were amazing.  I suppose we all slip, right?  The important thing is to not become discouraged, but to brush it off as a learning experience with ideas of how to resist next time (for instance, using a cattleprod every time I look at pizza again).

But today, I am determined to eat all my fruits, veggies, & Nutrisystem meals.  It is so much easier to stay on track when I’m not asking my husband’s opinion on Haiti while watching him lick corn muffin crumbs off his upper lip (because I absolutely adore fresh, hot corn bread. with butter).  I keep reminding myself that two meals, no matter how awful they were, are not going to destroy an entire week.  It’s not like I pounded back a Bloomin’ Onion & a 12-oz prime rib at Outback, you know?

& surprisingly, I still lost 1.5 lbs.  So I am officially down 11.5 lbs in one month of Nutrisystem & McFatty Mondays.  Above is a comparison of the very begging against today, with ::gasp!:: real weight numbers.  It’s not a massive difference – the good news about being 5’11″?  I can gain 10 lbs & it barely shows.  The bad news about being 5’11″?  I can lose 10 lbs & it barely shows.  But I feel GOOD, y’all.  Less lumpy, a little less dimply.  Not ready to jump into a polyester cheerleading uniform, or even my honeymoon lingerie (much to Nate’s personal despair), but I don’t feel like water glasses shake when I walk by anymore.

p.s.  I am VERY excited about my new month of NS shipping today, since I’m down to the stuff that didn’t seem appetizing.  Yet another reason it was hard to stick to it – I’m not big on sweet & sour chicken & noodles.  Or an orange cranberry biscuit.

So…did you cheat this week?  Or were you good?  If you had one cheat meal, what would you choose?  (I’m so mean, I know!)

  1. I can absolutely see a difference, you look great! I also had a rough week with food, and I wasn’t even snowed in!

  2. I had Jalapeno poppers… they were yummy and sooo worth it! Great job on the weight loss, I can totally see the difference! Here is my McFatty Monday Post!

  3. You can see the difference in your pictures, the weight loss is showing, maybe not to you, but I can see the difference. Way to go!! I totally downed some donuts and and brownies and candy and ice cream…and OH MY, I CAN’T STOP! I wrote about my endless desire to eat anything and everything in site. I need to cut it out or my petite physique will need to be rolled out of my house soon. I plan on making healthier dinners and sticking to healthier snacks. I love eating healthy, but it’s been hard to say “no” to my cravings lately.

  4. You can totally see a difference in your two pictures! Keep it up!! You doing awesome!! (Everybody has a cheat day every now and then)

  5. Oh yeah I cheated there is an amazing cupcakes shop in the mall and I failed and ordered 6, 6 cupcakes instead fo 1 cupcake but hey I still lost a little this week and I’m happy about that! Looking good by the way I can totally see a difference on your outer thighs. My body has the vulcan grip on all my fat there and apparently is very attached to it , it won’t go away!
    Mcfatty#4

  6. Congrats on the weight loss so far! I’m a lurker on your blog, but I’m also on Nutrisystem (4 lbs lost so far) and wanted to share some words of wisdom about “cheating” that someone shared with me a while back. If you forget to brush your teeth one day, it’s not like you’re going to just stop brushing them all together, right? So if you think about your good eating habits like something necessary for your health like teeth brushing, it doesn’t make sense to just throw in the towel when you had one bad day. Good luck with the willpower this week!

  7. I can absolutely see a difference, in fact I said as much to myself, out loud, alone in my office when I saw the pictures but before I got to the part about you thinking you can’t really see a difference. So there.

I am a slackass and have not properly gotten all linky with the McFatty Monday, but I will say that I only went for 2 walks last week when I was hoping for 4. However we did great with eating more veggies so I’m pleased about that.

Keep it up, you’re doing so great and you do really do look wonderful!

  8. Oh hush. You look fantastic. Lest you forget, you created and squeezed out a PERSON just a few months ago. Kudos on not looking like Ursula from The LIttle Mermaid.

And three slices of pizza will not kill you. They will make you stronger. You now know that you can fall off the wagon and jump right back on. WAY better than me… I fall off and wallow in it! :) Keep up the good work!!

  9. You can totally see a difference! Congrats on the weigh loss!

I totally know what you mean about being snowed in… we had a major storm on Saturday and were snowed in all day. We caved around 7pm, drove heinously slow to pick up some pizza… and split a large pizza between the 2 of us. Evenly. F#CK. Oh well… we’ll see what the scale says on Wednesday at WW weigh in!

  10. You look great! I didn’t do too swell this week … snowed in made me want to eat everything in sight!
    http://thencomebananas.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday.html

  11. I can for sure tell a difference by your arm pits and shoulders. Yay!! I feel you with the whole being tall and having to lose more weight than our shorter friends. My mom had to lose 30 pounds before people started asking her if she’s lost weight!! You’re doing great though!
If I were dieting, my cheat meal would start with some flaky layer biscuits with butter and strawberry jam, french onion soup with extra extra cheese, fried chicken, potato wedges from walmart, broccoli with extra cheese, and a big slice of cheesecake factory cheesecake (with the whipped cream of course)

  12. I totally cheated. Hard core. I ate an entire sleeve of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies that I found in the freezer. And they were soooooo good.

But I still lost 2 pounds, which brings me to one pound below pre-pregnancy weight!!

I didn’t write much in my McFatty post, since I’m headed back to work this morning and I wanted to spend as much time with my baby as I could :( but here is it anyway:

    http://changingtheuniverse.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-success.html

  13. You look amazing, my dear. I would totally hump your leg!

  14. I think you look fabulous already! I can absolutely see a difference!

  15. Hey, you look good! You can tell that you’ve lost weight, and you’re only going to look better & better! The reason i hate NS (and all other “diets”) is that, clearly humans were not made to eat a rigid set of “good foods” and exclude all “forbidden” foods. That’s why I love WW– because the 35 “cheat” points are built right in– so you can eat (in moderation) pizza every week if you want, and still lose weight. It must be hard to diet, knowing that you “can’t” eat some foods altogether.

  16. I totally see a difference! Great Job! Keep it up! Your doing wonderful!

  17. I am down 12 pounds from this past month and I’m feeling pretty good about it! I told myself at the beginning that even if I only lose 1/2 a pound a week, my baby weight will be almost gone by the end of 2010 and I am willing to do that (hubby is leaving for Afghanistan in March and won’t be back until March 2011…. my long-term goal is to be smokin’ upon his return!). I must say that your McFatty Mondays have really kept me on track. I read every Monday and get re-inspired for the week knowing that I am not alone and if everyone else can do it, so can I!

My constant cheat is red wine. I cannot deprive myself of that since I just went 9 months without alcohol. While I have come to peace with that, the pizza my husband and I ordered while we were drunk off said wine on Friday night was not my best choice. I only ate two slices but I felt so guilty when I sobered up the next morning about my 2nd dinner! I’m back on the wagon, though and ready for another 12 pounds to come off in February! Congrats on your weight loss! I definitely see a difference!

  18. “Kudos on not looking like Ursula from The LIttle Mermaid.”

this literally, truly made me laugh until I cried. Thanks!!

  19. I am a big fat cheater, in fact I don’t know why I even bother to pretend to be on a diet. I am a stay at home mama, I am snowed in every day!

    http://hannah.lohman-halstead.com/?p=108

  20. You look great, Blair! I had dreams about sugar cookies and cuppycakes the other day. In fact, I had a dream that I went to dinner with Obama and he served sugar cookies and I ate 10 of them. I am a freak.

I totally cheated this week. I didn’t have a cheat meal I had a cheat week! Hah. Oh well. There’s next week, right? I wrote about it and made some goals that I better acheive or I am going to consider myself a colassal failure.

    http://mollybrynn.blogspot.com/2010/02/get-clue.html

  21. great job, blair! i can see a difference too!!! keep up the good work… and a little cheat every now and then will keep you sane, and in check! :)

my cheats usually include ice cream…. nom nom nom…

  22. For what it is worth, I can totally see a difference between the two pictures, you are looking great.

  23. I cheated BAD BAD yesterday having Panda Express for lunch and if that wasnt enough I had steak with potatoes & wine for dinner.
But it’s a new week and I new month and I didnt cheated not even once before so I guess is not that bad, is it?

    You look great!!!!

    http://gracevader.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-scale-or-tape-measure.html

  24. Lookin’ very good Blair! 11.5 pounds in 4 weeks is quite the accomplishment! I finally weighed myself, and remeasured….and experienced my own sweet success–4 weeks does a body good!

My cheat meal: Probably NC style pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw…and sweet potato fries from Pigman’s….and then a strawberry shake. mmmm….

Ok. And here’s my McFatty Post:

    http://marblesrolling.blogspot.com/2010/01/mcfatty-monday-week-iv.html

  25. First time commenting… I cheated and had a huge cream puff this week. If we don’t cheat once in a while it will all build up and we’ll completely fall off the wagon. This should be a lifestyle change…. so indulging once in a while is good for us. Besides if we’re busting our asses all the time we deserve to indulge once in a while.

  26. Way to go, sweetie! My pre-preggers weight (this time around) was 228…so I’m totally drooling over your 212 status. *I’ll get there! I’ll get there.*

And? I think you are 14 kinds of awesome for putting your weight out there like that! I know we all come in different sizes and we all have our “comfort weight”–you know, that number that is the absolute max we can weigh without sinking into self-hatred–but I just can’t relate to the mom screaming, “I weigh 140 after the baby! Gawd! I MUST get back to 120 because I’m such a hoss!”

    You go!

  27. I totally cheated. Hard. I fell off the wagon so hard I’m in my own personal non-clothes fitting hell again.

    http://prayinghopingwishingwaiting.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-week-4.html

  28. i can definitely see a difference! you’re looking great, blair, and keep up the good work!

  29. http://backwellfamily.blogspot.com/2010/01/mcfatty-monday-week-5.html

I, too was snow bound all weekend and cheated like high school student taking a geometry test. Deets in blog.

You look great, by the way. If you can’t tell a difference, I sure can. Keep up the good work!

  30. You look fantastic!

  31. http://lifewithsweetcheeks.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-3.html

Are we living the same week? I blame the snow! I ate chili this week. (with crackers) And some oreos. Next week it will not be snowing… so it should be much easier. :)

I can tell you’ve lost weight! You look great! How are your clothes fitting now?

  32. Oh, I got you beat Blair…I ate FOUR slices of pizza. Plus some lovely canneloni…plus mac n’ cheese, plus sausage balls, PLUS birthday cake. Like you, somehow I still lost weight – so congrats on that! I don’t know how I lost 1.2 lbs. this week. That canneloni alone weighed more than that!

  33. Oh, and BTW – you can totally tell the difference in your pics!

  34. Oh wow, you are looking good! Keep it up! I’m still doing WW and am down 10.8 lbs sine January 1st. We can do it!

  35. I guess I should’ve read your entire blog before responding. I was just so excited about the pictures that I jumped ahead of myself, lol.
    Anyway, I didn’t know you were 5’11”. I’m 5’10” myself so I’m glad I have a ball-park estimate on how I will look when I weigh 224 or 212. (Yes, I weigh more than 224…*sigh*)
Oh, and I have a 6-foot, 160 pound husband with a metabolism that makes me cringe in jealousy so I TOTALLY understand that aspect as well.
I sort of slipped yesterday. I had a 5 point brownie even though I had already eaten all of my points. 5 points over isn’t so bad, especially since I have flex points and that is what they are there for but I still don’t like to go over. Oh well, I quickly got over it because like you said, today is a new day.

  36. [...] Congrats to Blair!!  You seriously look amazing, SERIOUSLY!  I can’t imagine doing this without McFatty [...]

  37. Ummm, you can DEFINITELY see a difference!! You are looking amazing!!! You’re keeping me so motivated, keep it up!!
Here’s my post for the week! Part I at least, I need to post a picture later!
    http://outofrealworld.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/is-it-possible-to-gain-wait-and-still-feel-successful/

  38. I can totally see a difference! Kudos to you for not being afraid to put the numbers out there– you are brave, strong, and you look amazing!

  39. We’re always more hard on ourself so you probably don’t see it, but others can definitely tell you’ve lost. It’s okay to have cheat days, I’ve seen big losses on weeks where I’ve had a huge cheat day on there that made me feel like I might as well give up and head to McDonald’s for a 20-piece Chicken McNugget meal.

I cheated this weekend with my annual girl’s night to a wine tasting event. I had tons of little appetizers and two carmel pecan cookies in addition to all the wine I drank. Then my sister-in-law and I downed another bottle of wine last night and I still lost, so yes, it’s gotta be okay to cheat as long as it’s not how you eat every day.

  40. I need to make better food choices but I am keeping up on working out. I found out that I love yoga and pilates but I know I need to get some cardio in or it’s all pointless. So I think I’ll cower under Jillian barking at me at least once a week.

  41. We’re all human beings and part of that means we aren’t perfect. So I think cheating is a natural thing. The thing to remember is to not let the cheating keep on going, which is what I would tend to do once I lost weight…I’d gain it back and then some. So as long as you keep on keeping on, you’ll be good. I also think if you don’t allow yourself to have those cheat days and induldge a little bit, then you will have a harder time making this a lifestyle change instead of a diet phase…at least that has been my experience. Oh, and you can totally tellt he different. 11+ pounds in one month is killer! I think I’m down like 8 or 9 lbs for the month and next week will be doing what you did …the ole comparing picture. But I think I might chicken out on posting the actual weigh numbers. And as always, can’t wait till next week’s post. (It’s like a virtual Weight Watchers meeting over here :) )

    Here’s my post: http://365daysofbeing30andamommy.blogspot.com/2010/02/day-32-mcfatty-monday.html

  42. Congrats you are looking great! In the last month I have lost 10 pound which brings me to 148. I started at 175 four months ago when I had my little girl. BUT I am only 5’2”, and still need to lose 14 pounds. My cheat this week was a slice of key lime pie!

  43. …I forgot to to fix “tellt” to “tell” before hitting post….and “induldge” to “indulge”

  44. well, it’s good you didn’t venture into work today, b/c i brought p-dubs cinnamon rolls. i just wanted one & the recipe made 50, so they’re here.

good work on the weight front! those two meals won’t sabotage you & i’m not just saying that b/c i’m your friend. i think you look great.

  45. Big FAIL for me this weekend too. Bubs turned seven which meant two days of party-style food and god-forbid…birthday CAKE! And I’m not talking about homemade simplicity – I’m talking gobs and gobs of buttercream, super rich, delicious icing. I couldn’t resist at least one (if not two) pieces.

Somehow, amid the confusion I managed to lose 1 pound. But, I’ve got to get back on the McFatty bandwagon this week.

And, OMG, I can totally tell a difference in the pictures! I am 5’10″ and I totally feel your pain but you are looking HOTT lady!

    Snow days and birthdays…da** them.

  46. You DO look like you lost weight! Great work! And you’re right, a meal or two shouldn’t complete derail a month’s worth of work…and it didn’t!

I know you’re set on NutriSystem, but I’m one to mix and match my nutrition plans. I did Body-for-Life (NOT easy for a new mother or a working mother or anyone) and it worked. My favorite part? He (Bill Phillips) claims that if you starve yourself for weeks or months on end, when you do “cheat” (and everybody does) your body will automatically hold tight to those extra calories for fear it won’t be getting any anytime soon. His program has a “built-in” cheat day. My favorite part! In other words, when you cheat, cheat without guilt knowing that your body needed it…and then start fresh at the very next meal!

  47. All cheats I blame on the snow. Pizza, brownies, breakfast burritos. Oh yeah, and Cookout.

    http://getskinnystat.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-2110.html

  48. PS… Blair, I’d like to thank you for giving me an ENTIRE day wasted at work because I am reading 47 million McFatty Monday posts :)

  49. yeah Monday mornings for me are not much more than nursing and looking at all the blog post.

  50. You’re doing great! Keep it up!!!

  51. I’m a lurker and been reading for a while. You actually were the impetus for me – I FIINALLY ordered NS. It is my first day today…choco chip scone done. Lunch? Alfredo. We’ll see….I hope I can be as successful as you!!!

You look amazing – i can TOTALLY see the difference in the pics.

  52. I was SO bad this weekend. It was my birthday on Friday, big family party on Saturday, and well, wtf was the point on Sunday. I’m back on track now though!! Plus I didn’t gain any weight from my badness, I just wasn’t eating well to meet my calorie goals (and I actually have no idea at all if I actually met those goals or not, since I wasn’t keeping track).

You look great, by the way! I was surprised it was only a 12 pound difference between those pictures.

  53. I am NO good at sitting bored in my house. It always ends with a mad search through my kitchen for something – ANYTHING – sweet to eat. If my body was the size of my willpower…I’d be thin already! Here is my McFatty Monday linky :)
    http://nikandnoelle.blogspot.com/2010/02/30-ds-day-29-getting-my-motivation-back.html

  54. You’re looking great, lady! You can see such a difference in your tummy already!

I’ll admit, I pretty much cheated all week. You can read more about that in my McFatty Monday contribution this week.

    http://eviemakes3.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-hit-my-ass-hard-when-i-fell-off-that.html

  55. You look GREAT, Blair! Congrats on an awesome first month!

  56. Blair! I can definitely see a difference!! Pizza is normally my downfall too and I know that one slice doesn’t hurt but I can never stop at one..or heck even two… I always hear that you’re never supposed to deprive yourself…
You can do it this week!!

    http://newlywedlife-vinceheidi.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday.html

  57. I can totally see a difference! I really need to start taking pictures-you have inspired me! Maybe not weekly…monthly?

I also cheated-went out to eat Saturday. Twice. I blame my parents.

  58. You look GREAT, Blair!! Wow! I wish I would have been taking pictures, too! Easy to see how all of your hard work and attitude are really paying off! Way to go!

  59. Congratulations on the continued weight loss! I had a terrible (well really it was utterly fantastic) weekend and the scale showed it this morning. Hopefully it was the kick in the pants I needed to get back on track!

    Have a great week!

    http://auntp.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-week-3.html

  60. You look great. You can definitely see the change. I really need to start doing pictures to track. I did perfect last week with food but lost 0 pounds so I am pretty disappointed. Hopefully that just means I will see a big number next week.
    http://jenislosingthebabyweight.blogspot.com/2010/02/21-weigh-in.html

  61. Great job! I can totally see a big difference already!

I had major cabin fever from being stuck inside all weekend too, and pizza delivery just seemed like the only option…I mean, we HAVE to eat, right?? :)

  62. Great job on your loss!! I can totally see a difference in your pictures! I too cheated this week…Red Lobster and dessert! Bad very bad for me.

    Here is my post…
    http://gettindebtfree.blogspot.com/2010/02/dessert-is-mykryptonite.html

  63. Great job on your loss, I can definitely see a difference in your pictures!
I didn’t do so well you can read about it here..
    http://gettindebtfree.blogspot.com/2010/02/dessert-is-mykryptonite.html

  64. congrats Blair! The difference shows…awesome. Progress you can see always makes it better.

Cheat day…cheat week…starting to climb out of it…hmmm. My life in this link
    http://bigsmilesformama.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatpants-monday.html

  65. http://gettindebtfree.blogspot.com/2010/02/dessert-is-mykryptonite.html

Great job on your loss this week, and the difference is totally noticeable in your pics!!

  66. Blair! It’s not true that you can’t tell! I can SO see a difference! And good for you for those 11lbs!

So, I cheated this weekend too. I cheated like Tiger Woods– it was epic. In fact, my cheating would put Tiger’s cheating to shame! There were multiple cookies, pizza, multiple hamburgers, French fries, chips… Yeah, I stuffed my face. It was delicious, too.

This week is week 7 for me and I’m going to try to push my exercise up a level. I’m working up to the 30-day shred by doing Jillian’s other videos. Also, to keep myself from becoming obsessed with numbers, I’m only weighing myself once a month. When I start the 30-day shred, I’ll weigh every ten days. I’ve got to say, knowing you and others are trying to get fit and healthy too really makes it easier to sweat and skip that cookie–

And my favorite food to cheat with is the Blue Moon Burger at Moonie’s Burgers here in Austin. Nothing like a blue cheese covered burger to undo some hard work. :-) Good luck this week!

  67. I ate thin mints too! And yay for getting below your ore-preg weight!

  68. Way to go on your weight loss for the month!

I haven’t cheated once since this all started a month ago and I’ve lost 13.7 pounds so far. I can’t bring myself to post real numbers on my blog though.

My cheat meal would be cheese enchiladas!

    Here’s my post. http://www.matahouse.blogspot.com/

  69. You look so great!! I can totally see a difference. Way to go! http://thsoapscumavenger.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday.html

  70. I feel you Blair , I’m 5 ’10 and it’s a blessing and a curse because the visual illusion doesn’t alert you to the fact that you’re gaining weight until you’re up quite a few pounds. Good job though, the difference IS noticeable.

  71. BLAIR! You look awesome. Wow. You make me jealous and motivated all at the same time. I took a flying header off the diet wagon this week so it’s nice to see your change. Hopefully it will get me off my lazy bum.
    http://mrandmrskniptionfits.blogspot.com/2010/02/thud-heard-round-world.html

  72. You look great!!

Fiance and I cheat on the weekends, and this weekend was pretty bad. Homemade Italian food from a restaurant in town on Friday night. Hot wing pizza for dinner on Saturday (and then lefties for lunch the next day). So, so good – but back to the grind today!

  73. I can see quite the difference! Awesome job! I wasn’t doing McFatty Mondays but seeing your success might have been just what I needed!

  74. Yeah, I can definetly see a difference! WTG!

Yes I cheated. And very badly. What was my husband thinking bringing home chocolate mousse? I took a bite (I mean, c’mon, I couldn’t let it just SIT there) and said “Wow that’s rich…. can’t eat much of that.” HA! One bite became two, then three, then four… aaaccckkk!!

    http://nolasteph.blogspot.com/2010/02/weight-loss-monday.html

  75. As everyone else has said, I can see a difference. Your stomach is obviously smaller, and I think your thighs are too. Good job!

  76. BLAIR! You look GREAT! I can absolutely see the difference. GREAT work!!!
I had a burrito one day, but I don’t see it as cheating because it’s tasty :)

  77. I just wanted to add that even the contestants on “The Biggest Loser” have a “cheat day” after each weigh in. It actually helps sort of shocks your metabolism (not to mention can make it easier to hang on the rest of the week if you know you can have whatever you’re craving on “cheat day”

  78. I can see a difference too!

    http://thedivasmom.blogspot.com/2010/01/mcfatty-monday-week-5.html

  79. This blog made me want to go make cornbread. Damn you Blair! But I understand sometimes giving in to temptation. There’s birthday cake in the freezer that’s screaming at me.

  83. Hey, hottie. The timing of my Project 365 and reunion with my treadmill have inspired me to join your club.

I give you McHealthy Monday: http://jenandtonica.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/32365/

    ::smooch::

  84. So my post is coming a little late tonight, but at least it is here.
    http://thisisthelifeforme.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/mcfatty-monday-3/
Blair- you look amazing! I fell off the bandwagon, but you know that (at least you read that) because of my momma. But this starts a new day and a new me and I am jumping back on the bandwagon.
Lucky for me- WW allows you to cheat right in the diet, so chocolate chip cookies here I come. Cheat meal- whatever I want at the moment, right now that is pizza and I am going to chow down on homemade pizza tomorrow- YUMMY!!!
Keep up the good work! What is your goal weight? And how is working out going?

  85. wow!!! you look amazing!!!! great job!! you can definitely tell you lost weight.

  86. Blair, I totally see the difference. Great job on the lost pounds so far. I was snowed in too this week. Snowed in= NOT conducive to weight loss.

    Here’s my Monday post:

  87. You’re looking great!!! Way to go!!!

  88. I think you can definitely see the difference in your pictures! Now I’m kind of wishing I had taken some.

Here’s my post for this week:

  89. Damn are you kidding me?? I am going to whip out that credit card right now and order that stuff. seriously you look FABULOUS.

My week was water filled until this weekend and snow and friends = fail. But I didn’t gain any weight, just didn’t loose. OKAY, deep breathe lets try this again.

  90. http://crazylife-jacksonsmommy.blogspot.com/2010/02/mcfatty-monday-week-4-i-think.html

My post. Not long since I am exhausted and just got home from work. BTW Blair I think you can totally tell a difference! You look great! I did cheat but only because I had a girls day and we went to the olive garden which was amazing!

  91. It’s technically Tuesday here in Chicago. Is it too late to join McFatty Monday? Would it help if I told you I had Buffalo Chicken Dip…for Dinner?

On another totally unrelated note…your blog-and the movie Julie and Julia- but mostly your blog, totally inspired me to start my own. I’m sure you get that a lot, but I hope someday to have the following you do!
I’ve never really reached out to someone via the intrawebs, so this is my first attempt. I hope you’ll check out my blog – http://imo-fwiw.blogspot.com/ and let me know what you think.
Now I just have to map out a plan so I can join McFatty Monday next week!!

  92. Way to go with the 11.5 lbs! I definitely see a difference!

    http://corinnesshred.blogspot.com/2010/02/weight-192lbs-total-weight-loss-10lbs.html

  93. Way to go! That’s incredible and you can totally see the difference!

  94. You are doing a great job!

This was my proudest week. I went on a 5 day carribbean cruise with all of those temptations, avoided them all, worked out everyday onboard and lost 3 pounds!

My cheat meal would be potato skins and a brownie from Friday mmmm

  95. You look so great for only four weeks in! Congrats! I’m not doing so well. My job just switched me to late afternoons, and my dinners are all messed up! I went from totally structured to needing to eat several snacks since I can’t eat at work except for a break at 8pm. The struggles of being a librarian, I guess…

P.S. My hubs and I religiously read your blog. We are in the pre-TTC era, and it’s so nice to hear all about it before we take the plunge. Love you!

  96. McFatty Monday…http://jvanddv.blogspot.com/2010/02/could-have-been-bettercould-have-been.html
I didnt cheat but I didnt do as well as I could have. And sadly, I think drinking wine is going to have to go b/c when I dont drink I do so much better…Sad face.

  97. I see a big difference! As for your hubby: Tell him I said (like he cares!) that he is not supporting you. And that he needs to take his off-limits-to-you food and eat it in the closet. Or the bathroom. And for goodness sake, wipe those crumbs off his chin before he kisses you good morning!

Keep up the good work! Don’t stress the pizza. Think about all the calcium!

  98. So…what is the point in improving yourself if you hate life? Cheat days are NOT a big deal!!!
When I had my babes the thing that I found to be the best fit for my schedule and health was yoga and pilates. Because it tones the core, big time really quickly, which as you know is the major focus areas for moms. You can have really effective quickie workouts and really incredible longer workouts. I was always amazed at how the stress of my day would literally melt away, it is so relaxing! It’s something that can (this was mandatory for me) be done from the comfort of your own home and there are TONS of amazing tools to help newbies out. My kids are 4 and 5, and I still swear by yoga and pilates postpartum fitness!

  99. That is awesome! I took a 2 month hiatus from working out around the holidays. It has taken it toll. I had originally lost 15lbs, but I definitely gained at least 5 of it back. I finally got back on my treadmill this week but the routine is not setting in yet. I’m impressed that you lost 12lbs in four weeks. Way to go!!

  100. You are insane, woman! Of course you can see the difference in the pictures! It’s noticeable, and hello, 12 pounds is awesome progress after only 4 weeks. Pretty soon, you will be RSVPing for that cheerleader thingie AND wearing your old uniform. Too far? Well, you know what I mean. You totally inspired me to NOT order chicken pot pie from my fave delivery place today :)

  101. Okay, 100 comments so this one might go unnoticed but I think you are doing a fantastic job and I’m right there with you. I started http://www.nomuffintop.wordpress.com to record my own nightmare *ahem* journey getting back into my “skinny jeans” – they were never really LA size 4 skinny jeans but they are jeans nevertheless (like you I’m tall and 10 lbs aint no big deal). Anyway, keep up the good work. My weakness hands down is chocolate. Good luck!

  102. I Will have to come back again when my class load lets up – even so I am taking your RSS feed so I can read your site offline. Thanks.
